For anyone wondering about the donut thing, here is how it goes: for the 7 flavors, draw 6 vertical and parallel lines Those 6 lines divide the plane in 7 regions, namely, regions A, B, C, D, E, F, G; each one representing one out of the 7 flavors. For the 12 donuts, doodle in 12 dots. The amount of dots at any given region represents the amount of donuts of that flavor. If you permutate those 18 objects and account for the repetitions (12 dots + 6 lines), the total number of different possible packages of 12 donuts, chosen from 7 flavors, will be 18!/12!*6! Now for the bijection thingy: Bijection is basically a one-to-one relation between one thing and another.
