Oh, My Darling, Clementine (traditional American folk ballad), sung a capella.
I just had a compulsion to create this little video and song - it was one of my favourite songs as a kid. There are so many versions and verses of this online it’s crazy; I decided to start with the chorus because it’s so famous that it set the scene straight away with the first image. I went for “haunting and sad” rather than fun and light-hearted (I know you can go either way with this song) - the reason for going a capella and keeping it very simple was the more personal and haunting result (like anyone could be telling this story or singing this song around a campfire). I just used whatever videos and photos I had in my stash - this was always going to be one of those impulsive creations on a whim.
