The guy who Shrinking Ray killed by going into the eye is named Salamander, the green woman is called Iguana, the guy who killed Kate ia called Komodo Dragon, they resemble similar traits too. That's why he was able to survive the expansion from Shrinking Ray, Komodo dragons in real world have pretty tough skin amd muscles too. Just a bit of trivia.

Conquest's attack, Invincible War, Dinosaurus' attacks, Viltrumite war, and the final war in the final episodes of the series called "The end of all things" are going to blow your mind then. People have no idea what's coming next.

IMO the second season just wasn't structured as well as the first. Omniman killing the Guardians not only sets the tone of the show brilliantly but it also establishes the whole season's through line and central question of "why tf did he do it!?". It keeps you invested all the way to the end when you get the answer. Season 2 doesn't have that. You leave season 1 wondering where did Omniman go and when will the viltrumites attack Earth. Those questions get answered pretty early on though, and there's no longer a clear endpoint for where the season is going. There are multiple sub-plots, but they feel like B-plots without any major A-plot to be grounded in. It was pretty good don't get me wrong. I just found season 1 had more intrigue and that season 2 was doing a lot of clean up and set up for season 3.
