Look, folks. Big people on these smaller horses. Amazing power. That's our breed. Be proud. About 14 1/2 hands? Maybe 15. They'll work their hearts out for us. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I ride a 14.5hh mare. She takes verbal cues from me with some leg pressure.. I like a broader horse rather than a tall narrow bodied horse.. it's wonderful to give verbal commands, stop, trot, lope slow down.. I never need spurs with this particular horse..
yes these are American Quarter Horses they are breed to be short and stocky and when their neck are like that to relax them you can see that horse is relax with its head/neck low like that and that how they come with their neck low i have an American Quarter Horse she is short and stocky and her neck is about her body height. theirs nothing wrong with this
Yep, especially for the breed. When their head it that low, it actually releases endorphins that relaxes them! It’s amazing how they work off of so little pressure, really.
in their free time a little bit of percent the horse will put its head up but for a horse to have it head low shows that it more relax then ever instead of having so much pressure on their necks more like relieving pressure when their head is down
These are stout athletes. They don't break their legs like thoroughbreds. People who have absolutely no knowledge of this breed and this sport have no business judging us. I've worked with many different breeds throughout my life. Horses love having a job to do.
