Rachel I love dehydrating zucchini!! I sprinkle a tad of sea salt, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese on it. It re-hydrates so beautifully! Your zinnias and sunflowers look beautiful! I planted so many seeds and only have one zinnia and one sunflower. I just put a bunch more in the ground.
They are great as snacks, kind of like chips, or throwing them in soup during the winter. We even dried shredded zucchini and we are going to see if it can be used for zucchini bread!
@4 Kids and a Farm Use as a thicker in soups, casseroles or a base for a soup, In bread, muffins. What the grandkids can’t see they won’t reject. When I was a foster parent I would purée all the veggies (egg plant, onions, squash, pumpkin, bell peppers, mushrooms, leek, celery etc) and add it to the sauce for lasagna, spaghetti or in gravy. When foster kids say “my Donald’s” not McDonald’s or the parents say about their three year old, “they only eat hash browns “ . You know you need to hide everything.
