Check Game is not hard. The contestants just arent listening. I think Bob should have started his explanation with something like "Do NOT write the check for what you think the prize is worth."

I agree, it's an easy game. The problem is it's not a game that the host can just hold their hand through like with all the others. Plinko: drop something. Punch a Bunch: punch something. Double Prices: Pick one. Blank Check: Do Math. Do WHAT???

@@kimarajamison6951 I think the reason why the contestants aren't listening is due to the fact they're being under pressure when the lights and cameras are facing you - as in being nervous when it comes to this game.

This was painful to watch... not only on the explanation but the result at the end. How this game was not retired is strange to me... but Barker's explanation kept the game going.

You can say that for “That’s Too Much!”, too. Blank Check/Check Game has always been one of my favorites on the show, no matter how confusing it often was, to play it.

People always have a problem with this game because they can't figure out that this game essentially requires two guesses. Even still, the second guess is the only guess that gets written down and is dependent on the first guess. I can almost guarantee you that most people thought to themselves "wait how can I write this check without knowing what the price of the prize is?". That's the challenge. As someone who loved math back in school, I instantly thought of this as an algebraic equation. x is the check and y is the price of the prize. x + y ≥ 3000, x + y ≤ 3500 Assume a value for y, and write the check for x that makes the above statements true.

I'm probably on the younger side of viewers on this channel, and I certainly know how to write a check. There aren't real reasons for me to do so anymore because modern technology provides receipts and I don't rely on the postal service. I haven't written one in almost 10 years now. My generation is not *quite* as dumb as some of you take us for.
