OH NO! I Explored too Far! - The Long Dark PERMADEATH 

"Why can't I sleep in here!? I can't sleep in here for reasons unbeknownst to me" - Appsro, who never opened the radial menu to use the "sleep" option.

I love how creative the guys get with single player games that might be otherwise kinda boring. The idea to run two games at once like two stranded survivors on radios, or the way they handled Subnautica with members of the group playing remote tech support is just plain great.

I love the difficulty contrast. Appsro is always in panic mode and neebs is just chillin. The music helps sell this too

I love that every episode lately has been Appsro "Oh man today's a great day. I can go do something" to result in almost death

This is my favorite Neebs series of '22.

Appsro's performance was riveting, with the editing and music selection I was on the edge of my seat the whole time hoping Appsro could endure. Neeb's co staring dialog in the heavy moments was exceptional as well. Amazing episode Team, thank you for the entertainment.

I'm amazed that they have survived for this long, I mean they both have some really bad luck sometimes in this series.

TFW Appsro walked right by a perfectly good basement at the burnt house.

That bear is just trying to protect Neebs from certain death in a zone he isn't ready for.

If Appsro would have turned around when he shot the limping wolf there was an entrance to a basement.

Was really hoping Apprso would figure out you have to use the radial menu to sleep in the snow shelter, but it did make for an interesting episode. I had no clue you could do so much with an empty energy bar. Ps Whoever's handling the music on this I salute you. Really enhances the mood.

when apso was building the storm shelter, having made that same mistake myself, i felt so bad for him T_T also felt so bad for him when he ran past the super-awesome-mega-shelter next to the plane, that poor guy xD the phrase " theres nothing up there" made me weep DEAR APSRO PLEASE!! GO BACK

Appsro, you can sleep in the snow shelter, same way as in a car. Just use the spacebar radial wheel and go to campcraft. Will be an option to rest in there. Love this series. Been watching y'all for almost 7 years now and you never fail to bring a smile to my face. Kisses!

Boy do I really love the fact that they are doing this series. I know it sounds silly but one of my favorite parts of the series is how increasingly cluttered and chaotic the thumbnail steadily becomes with each new episode 😂

Ahhh... Appsro, you had me on the edge of my seat and dam near screaming at the monitor! lol. You can sleep in snow shelters and the back of cars, accessible from the radial menu, camp craft/rest/pass time I believe :) Then you walked past a cave, which I think has a sleeping spot, during your treck back down the mountain. Loving this Series keep it up... please survive for the long haul :D P.S Wolves love ya for ur smell too... you had uncured hides, guts and a ton of meat on ya :P They will track you from miles away like that :)

Hands down the most STRESSFUL episode yet! Had me yelling at my tv telling Appsro what he should do and reminding him that this was a dumb decision! 🤣

The background music you guys are using really captures the mood of each scene. how you work it into this series and the 7d2d a16, a17, and a18 are my most memorable use of music you guys use.

Apsro, a few tips if you're interested: -you can sleep in a snow shelter using the radial menu. Also probably keep a bed roll with you if you can -wolves won't attack you while you're holding a torch or a torch is at your feet so long as you don't move towards them. You can scare wolves off by aiming a stone at them while there's a torch on the ground near your feet. Also works with flares. (don't try with bears, they just attack) -you can heal a sprained ankle with just one bandage. You may know this one but this and prev episode I saw you walking around on a sprained ankle, if you carry a few bandages with you, you can heal sprains immediately -sticks are a pretty bad fuel for fires. They only give a few mins each. Carry a couple pieces of coal if you can. They give an hour of fire each and don't weight too much. Firewood works okay too. -cat tail stalks are great to carry around for food. They give 3000kcal/kg and don't degrade.

This series def shows off Appsro's acting chops... He's so good at conveying the tension this game brings.

Appsro's level of patience with Neebs these days, as apposed to the early days of channel is quite amazing. Or it could be the fact that this game has every synapse in his brain firing full speed, that it brings out his empathetic nurturing side. 😂🤣

Neebs if you're worried about weight you can filter your inv so heaviest stuff is at the top. Most of the important stuff is pretty heavy but you can save a lot by storing and dropping the essentials. Of you're at a base, use cooking pots for water but if you're out and about I just carry 2 tin cans. Every canned good you eat gives you an empty tin can so be sure to drop the extra ones! This series is really enjoyable to watch, thank all of you for the effort

I gave it a thumbs up before i started watching. Never got disapointed by neebs gaming

appsro One, always carry a torch with you, you passed a basement on one of the burnt houses, had a sleeping bag in it, when in a shelter in a car or snow shelter you can pull up the quick pick wheel and choose sleep or waiting under the fire option. also near the plane you passed up a cave with a bed in it. but this is the beauty of you guys going in blind. Neebs batteries are good for sawing into and making lead to melt down into bullets to put in your empty bullet casings, get more ammo in the late game, so save those casings.

Haven't finished the episode yet, but hey Apprso, you CAN sleep in the snow shelter without a bedroll. You just need to use the Bedroll icon in the radial menu.

Love this series. Watch it with the hubby while we eat supper (along with all of your vids, but liking this one more recently) I find it's a calm watch with the sprinkles of excitement. Perfect enjoyment.

Appsro for future reference when in snow shelters hold spacebar go to the top with the bedroll and use the place bedroll option. When in the snow shelter it will instead be a sleep option.

Oh for the record appspro, both beans and peas are legumes, the difference between bean and pea is what part you eat. If it's purely the seeds within the legume its called a pea, if it's the full legume it called a bean.

Among all the great burns the whole Neebs crew regularly pull off on each other, I think the most scathingly nonchalant burn ever is Appsro's "of course you would" response to Neebs liking airline food.

I facepalmed when Appsro walked right by that cave (with a bed) near the plane crash...lol. I was waiting for him to go in and get super excited.

This is for Appsro. If you carry everything, always, you will die from the extra weight and corresponding sprains, breaks, etc. Advance in stages. 1. Find a safe place. Drop all your things that aren't immediately necessary there. Keep everything needed to survive one night. If you are missing anything, you aren't ready to look for the next safe place. 2. Explore in a full circle, or at least a half circle leading forward. Never go further than the supplies you have, accounting for the return time to your place, any weather, and any attacks. 3. If you find another safe place, transfer a lot of your goods to there. Repeat.

Neebs you can harvest lead from batteries with a hacksaw. You can then take the lead to a forge (they are found in forlorn muskeg and hushed river valley) you will need a large hammer at the forge but there you can make new slugs. You take the slugs, spent shell casings, stump remover, and dusting powder to an ammo workbench (inside black rock prison and another in desolation point) and you can craft bullets.

This series is fantastic, I’ve given up my Netflix subscription because this far excels anything they can offer, awesome job guys keep it coming

If you're in the snow shelter you can select the bed roll and sleep even if you don't have one in your inventory. You can still be attacked by wolves while in one though. Learned that the hard way

2 pieces of advise: Neebs: RELOAD. YOUR. GUN. Appsro: BRING YOUR FUKING BEDROLL.

This series is my favorite.

Haven't been playing for too long but something really useful is if you've cooked all your stuff and boiled all the water and you're warm but your fires still got plenty of fuel, you can take torches from it, extinguish them and carry them on you for extra heat, light and wolf deterrent when you need it. They weigh a little and they take ten mins and a few degrees of heat off your fire but v useful

They both learned 2 important Long Dark lessons today. Appsro learned how deadly climbing a rope (let alone 2 ropes in a row) can be. I'm amazed he didn't fall on the second one. You gotta plan a full rest bar for double ropes or shit gets bad fast. And he learned that you should never leave your shelter without a bedroll. Thats a big one. Neebs learned to not carry 8 liters of water and a car battery everywhere, and that sticks make fire. Their difficulty levels seem about accurate. Neebs is gonna have to start exploring away from the road though or he's gonna die in Milton. And of the 3 ways out of that area, 2 of them are most likely a death sentence for him. Also, Appsro missing the basement door that he was basically standing on by the second burned cabin was hard to watch, but watching him walk past the cave with the bed in it while almost dead in the middle of the night was even worse. But hey, you ain't dead. REALLY thought that was it. Good shit. I fucking love this game.

Others have said it in the comments, but I also wanted to add that the basement you passed by was in the second burnt down house you had your back to when you shot the wolf, before finding the plane. After the plane, there is a cave the way you left the area to the right of the path, before you cross the log. Some caves have a bed in them, I don't remember if that one did or not. Having said all that, you survived and made it home! I am so impressed. That basement might be worth going back to, it is stock full of food and stuff. The plane has ok loot, but the food is worth it as well. Don't forget your bedroll.

Appsro! What a total noob mistake, going anywhere without a bedroll! Wow, I honestly can't believe you survived that! I am really enjoying how you two are playing "together" with the "radio communication". It makes it so much more interesting. And Neebs is doing great for a first timer. I think I survived a whole 5 minutes on my first playthrough. The first part of the new Xpack just dropped, are you guys going to dip into that or maybe do another series featuring that part of it when this one is over?

When in the snow shelter, if you go to your quick menu, and go to the campfire icon in the lower right. If you can sleep in a shelter a bed icon appears in this menu, even if you dont have a bedroll on you.

Am I the only one tearing their hair out watching them harvest animals with a hatchet when they both have perfectly good knives?

Hmmm.. I haven't used one of those snow shelters in a while. Do you have to click spacebar and go down to the survival tab to click the phantom bedroll to sleep in them? Appsro might have been able to sleep in there after all. Also, I think there's usually a bed in the cave next to the plane crash that he walked right by. Survived though. So, cool!

for future reference, you can sleep in the snow shelter. Once inside you have to bring up the action dial. The sleep action is under "camp site" tab where you would go to build a camp fire or lay down your bed roll... Still watching to see the exciting conclusion, but wanted to pass on the info, incase you haven't learned it yet.

Right after Appsro climbed that 2nd rope, he mentioned, "I hope there's something up here." I thought to myself, "I bet it's wolves." Nice shot on the first one. I loved the ending with them arguing which had a crappier day... and I'd agree with Apprso, Neebs been dead long before on that difficulty. Not to say everything Apprso is doing is right, but he is enjoying himself. I loved that "I LOVE THIS GAME" once he made it back.

Quick menu wheel has an option to sleep. Similar to vehicles. Never go anywhere without your bedroll

This whole game reminds me of that movie The Grey with Liam Neeson. When Appsro found the plane it just reminded me of it that much more lol I love this series

I have several hundred hours playing this game. He couldn't figure out how to sleep in the snow shelter and walked right past a cave that he could have slept in, it was right next to the plane crash. My son was laughing at me as I was yelling telling them how to do it and where to go.

18:07 Dude, you have to have some guts or meat on you to have 15 wolves homing in on you constantly. You're also still literally right by the cabin, you just need to shimmy down to it and that's super easy.

This game would be a fantastic 2 player co-op!!
