This was great! Thank you, Annabel (the great) for posting. Nothing like as funny on radio in the English speaking world. From Canada. Which once had funny radio shows, years ago
Thats why I uploaded it... I keep wanting to find good things online... so when I find & download them, i put them up... even if it does mean pasting that picture for 5 minutes
I wish they'd made more of a meal of The Moral Maze... something like: Head one: Hello, and welcome to The Moral Maze. Today we are considering the issue of hunger here in The Moral Maze, and we are particularly looking at what are considered by some here to be increasingly pressing concerns about the means by which we, as consumers, resolve our concerns. There is considerable debate over the ethics of our position as consumers and whether or not there is sufficient justification for that role. Our first potential prey, or quarry, or, as some may see it, innocent victem of an unforgiving consumer demand, is Sandi Toksvig. Now Sandi, despite your natural reluctance to consider these matters from the perspective of the monstrous heads on our body, can you not concede that there is a valid case to be made? Sandi: No. Head one: This is of course an entirely understandable response, and I feel that we must all acknowledge the moral force of this perspective. Head two: I quite take your point, but I feel that it is important to underline the currently unalterable position that we are in, which is to say that we are consumers. Therefore, it seems to me to be more a question of how we can make this easier for those on whom we depend for our resources. Head three: I wish to start by saying that you have both made important observations, which I fully take on board, but I think it is important, at this stage, to offer my observation that, in very real terms, our potential prey, or quarry, or, as some may see it, innocent victem, is escaping. Therefore, if immediate steps are not taken, we will find ourselves, in a demonstrable, concrete sense, without a meal.
