I agree with your assessment of church dude. I don't even know the guy and I can tell that from just the way he talks, and how he treats his fans vs. many of the other famous artists out there. His ACTIONS shows that he genuinely cares about people. It's one of the reasons I admire him so much honestly. It's not because of his music (though it's great music). It's because he is a genuinely amazing individual. he 100% has my respect.

Church is a genuine and caring person, and no one can prove otherwise. The reason why people portray him as a bad dude is for one (or all) of 3 reasons: 1. They're jealous 2. They want money 3. They think that because Church is so open about things and doesn't sugarcoat shit, that he must be a liar, and that he must have skeletons in his closet that would show his true colors... Always seemed to me like upchurch tries to help out so many people and it a lot of times they always poke the bear that feeds them. But at the least, upchurch is still very successful and never let people derail him from his own goals.
