It specifically says in the product description that the iphone magnets aren't strong enough, that's why they have the adhesive. You can also buy the replacement adhesive for $3
@TechKid91Production lack of pricing and lack of instructions to remove packaging isn't the same logic. When there's a obnoxious layer of plastic to keep the adhesive in tact it's implied that the adhesive has a purpose and is ready to be used. Would you rate a watergun horribly if it doesn't have instructions to fill it with water first before operation? No because its common sense to do that before. I have the Snap 4 and it works perfectly with the adhesive.
Are you kidding me? This is copied directly from their website and they send an email with a link to it when you purchase. Anyone that thinks you can use it without yhe adhesive is an idiot. "INSTALLATION Are you ready? Remove Snap 4 Luxe from the packaging and touch the smooth, cold aluminum trim. Feel delighted. Turn it over and peel off the back sticker to reveal a beautiful array of magnets. If you have an iPhone 12+ you can just drop it on the back of the phone and it will self align."
It's literally not even close to as strong as they claim. I was so excited to get this. I've used adhesive type grips before and this one just does not stick to my phone. I tried going directly to the back of my Galaxy S 23 ultra which is a very smooth metal backing so there should be no issues with it gripping and no matter what I do it pulls right off. I've already submitted for a return and looking for other options. I have to say I was very excited about this due to the fact that it is thin and versatile but the fact that now I see how weak the adhesive is, I can't feel confident it's not going to fly off my hand when I'm walking around or fall off my car mount while I'm driving.
Yeah, the middle part just popped off of mine. I just got it today. Ive stuck it to like 5 things and then fhe middle part came off and now it doesn't rotate.
Issue a return on their site. I just did that, and the email I got right after i submitted said I don't need to send anything back either. Also, it basically sits in a groove between two plastic lips on the center hub, if it isn't rotating, it's probably bc the plastic is dented in. Try to gently push it back into place if you're comfortable. It will most likely fix it
For the people saying “use the adhesive”, Amazon have one exactly the same for 50% cheaper ($50 with shipping if you inly need 1) if that’s the point, why spend more for a metal ring?
I went with the Tango, because the whole point to me is not to have glue. It sticks onto my magnetic ring case so strongly that it takes some force to get it off. No way it's coming off accidentally. The problem is that the helix doesn't allow your fingers to get under the top very far. Not as far as you see in this vid for ohsnap. And it can get uncomfortable against your finger. I do like it as my case is smooth and it allows me to confidently use my S24 Ultra one handed. I don't use "wireless" charging or wallets. I have attached it to a car mount and while the Tango sticks to the mount, I don't find getting it off (giggity) takes more effort than removing it from my case. YMMV. I just wish it felt more secure/comfortable in my fingers. A ring or loop would feel more secure, but can still irritate fingers and not as slim. Comfortable straps or the magstem increase comfort, but are so bulky that they aren't pocketable. 2 B honest the adhesive, price, and plastic center have put me off the ohsnap.
