I'm not a boy, but the sock vs toilet paper thing if you didn't figure it out... most (especially just enteringpuberty) young men don't pre plan for certain "fun and games". It generally only takes one experience with a viscous fluid versus toilet paper to realize to doesn't work well to clean it up. So in a panic they grab an object they think no one will notice if it's dirty, like a sock. Hope that was professional enough lol
