It's always odd when you hear a song you know so well remixed and you have to ignore that and just listen to this track for what it is, because this track is special. It takes one great song and it makes another great song.
PsychoXistence i beg to differ sire. I think the more upbeat version is very much welcome in this community. But i must appreciate your candid thoughts and music taste
PsychoXistence mizu's beats is his very original style which changes the song a lot, you wont really like any of his songs unless if you generally like his style
Im sure corrected means that he now thinks that remixing a song like this is not a bad idea ;) I really loved this song and just stumbled on this remix on accident..I love it
Who remembers when Galaxy posted the original version of this song? i do! And its still wonderful not only in the original, but this too. (Personally i think i like the original better though)
At first i thought the phone had a case with a transparent part on the front that allows for notifiations to be seen, then i realized it was a regular flip phone!!!😆😆 It's been a while since i've seen anyone use flip phones☺️.
Honestly, I love Oh Wonder. I own both of their albums and listen to them constantly. I own several of their tee shirts and posters and I've seen Anthony and Josephine on tour four times. Most of the remixes I've seen online have been okay, (especially for their debut album) but this one is incredible. Fantastic work 👌
I can't say 1 is better than the other. This has a nice beat and sound with a good mixture of high and low beats and the sounds are just so nice and fit well together. Although the ladies voice is deeper here and I really like her higher pitched voice in the original. Also I feel the drop in this is unnecessary, not bad, but too much extra. The beats in this also seem to mush rather than pop. Both great in their own ways.
According to what I found: The work deals with the transition from the Japanese Meiji society to the modern era, by exploring the friendship between a young man and an older man he calls "Sensei" (or teacher). It continues the theme of isolation developed in Sōseki's immediately preceding works, here in the context of interwoven strands of egotism and guilt, as opposed to shame. Other important themes in the novel include the changing times (particularly the modernization of Japan in the Meiji era), the changing roles and ideals of women, and intergenerational change in values, the role of family, the importance of the self versus the group, the cost of weakness, and identity. So, whether intentional or not, it actually fits the song quite well!
Step out into the sun Skies above they radiate me Lift up, carry the love Do you know? That I've been out of my mind This slow life I'm waiting for you To swing me all of your line Do you know? Since I've been walking solo Dreaming you were back home I find getting down low Hide until tomorrow Come back into the good life Lose these hazy love lies I've been chasing my mind Lonely in the cold nights 'Cause I'm kicking up stones without you Can't pick up the phone without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you And I'm digging down holes without you Can't be on my own without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you Step out into the dark Where were you when I was trying To lift up, carry the love Do you know? That I've been closing my eyes Love me slow, hallucinating Swinging me all of your light Do you know? Since I've been walking solo Dreaming you were back home I find getting down low Hide until tomorrow Come back into the good life Lose these hazy love lies I've been chasing my mind Lonely in the cold nights 'Cause I'm kicking up stones without you Can't pick up the phone without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you And I'm digging down holes without you Can't be on my own without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you Hold me close when it's over Life goes slow loving sober Feel my bones getting older Sadness grows when you're cold 'Cause I am one step heavy and two steps high Hold it steady with you by my side One step heavy and two steps high Two steps high 'Cause I'm kicking up stones without you Can't pick up the phone without you I'm a little bit lost without you And I'm digging down holes without you Can't be on my own without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you Without you Without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you And I'm digging down holes without you Can't be on my own without you I'm a little bit lost without you Without you
