While living on High Street I left my crap Ford Focus to warm up every morning. All doors unlocked, car running for 10 minutes to break the chill and make ice/snow removal easier. Not a single person ever tried stealing my car. Don't want your cool car stolen on campus? Buy a $2,000.00 beater instead!
There wasn't as much "diversity" in the Campus area back in 1986, mask lady, and the response and subsequent punishment for auto theft in Franklin County back then was completely differentt. Stop comparing apples to oranges.
