For me this one deserves! Minnesota was good but cmon you cannot deny the technicality in this performance is impeccable! The synchronicity and the hard level of choreography made this to the top! Plus the heart of each steps on this dance portrayed so much.
Msu absolutely had better technique, synchronization and level of difficulty lol… they won because the routine was emotionally driven instead of tricks
@@trip7002and bc Travis wall was paid who knows HOW much for his choreography, pathetic, they’re setting the new standard that all the training, travel, costumes aren’t enough, this shows that the judges also want 20k choreo as well. I was super underwhelmed, however I’ve seen enough of Travis Wall’s routines to know they’re all the same. Doesn’t quite have the same effect I’d imagine, and guess this is how he has to make a living after being shunned from Hollywood, etc. for a bit. This routine did nothing for me. Fake vibes, nothing against the dancers rather the choreography, and person behind it, doing it for cash, U of M’s was AMAZING, guess from now on they know to play it safe and higher Travis Wall 🙄🙄🙄
@@trip7002 i don’t think so i feel like if anything they’re at the same level no huge difference in technicality honestly i feel almost certain that all of these dancers couldve done dream on and vice versa
For people not understanding why this is a significant performance for OSU, look up their history with Frank Sinatra and their dance program. Twyla Tharp was a major name at both OSU and in the dance world
Lol what exactly was the "story" here? Someone has watched too much SYTYCD. You don't always need a "story". Sometimes it can be just about celebrating the glory of movement and the astonishing things dancers can do with their bodies.
I liked Minnesota’s better.. both were technical perfection, it was just the costumes and choreography tweaks that did it.. glad I’m not a judge though!
yes, minnesota’s dance was technically harder but the people saying this clearly aren’t dancers themselves. Technique plays a part in the dance but dance is nothing without the raw emotion that is clear in Ohio’s performance… The use of clothes as props, the lyrics, the unison and the separation it all put Ohio on another level. They were untouchable after that level of emotion
Forgive me for asking but do these kids get to do any studying? I would love to see these kinds of championships in my country or perhaps across Europe.
Nope, they won bc Travis Wall choreographed it. End of. When ya don’t have the talent, buy the routine and the so called “feels” anyone familiar with Wall’s routines can see they’re all the SAME. So lame, lol!
this just looks like Travis Wall doing Travis Wall. Before I knew that he was the choreographer I said "this just looks like Travis Wall" and welp, it is.
They definitely had the artistry down for this which is usually lost to acrobatics like MN, glad the artistry of dance won over the impressive tricks this time
I feel like this routine needs props. They're excellent. I love how they mobbed out. Love how they told a story, but im wanting more out of this. I dont think they have a prop division do they.?Anyways. Kudos to creativity. Go Ohio! 💕👍🏽 Anyone know where they placed?
MNN didnt win because the choreo was backward. U have to build. They literally put thr best part at the beginning. There was no climax. This wasnt as technical or even executed as well but, the routine built with the song.
They had a girl step out of bounds. about 1:26 on stage right (your left if you're watching from the audience). My guess is the technical deduction from that is what brought Ohio over the edge.
Minnesota wasn't robbed. The OSU girls are incredible dancers who also showed incredible techniques aside from just turns. Their heart and choreography were more innovative and Minnesota stepped out of bounds.
