Brantford needs an official OHL team and a new arena, like Owen Sound, North Bay, Ottawa and Sudbury. Bigger venues with at least 8,000 capacity. The ancient Peterborough Memorial Centre should have been replaced 30 years ago. How about expanding the OHL to Timmins, Thunder Bay and Kenora, that would bring northern Ontario into the mix.
They won't go to Timmins, Thunder Bay or Kenora. The latter two are closer to the WHL and Timmins doesn't have a rink big enough, and it isn't a big enough market (neither is Kenora actually)
I agree, its a beautiful arena. The only drawbacks I found was the video board isn't as good as some others, and the parking situation around Budweiser Gardens was Toronto Maple Leafs expensive (30$). My personal favourite behind London's is Oshawa.
