Ohm’s Law is generally applied only to direct current (DC) circuits, not alternating current (AC) circuits. In AC circuits, because the current is constantly changing, other factors such as capacitance and inductance must be taken into account. Yes it's a neat analogy. Yes, by all means memorise Ohm's law. It states: "IN A CIRCUIT AT CONSTANT TEMPERATURE the ratio between electromotive force and current remains constant. That is Ohm's law correctly stated, and that's the answer you will need for your Physics exam. If you're asked in an exam to state Ohm's law, writing the common formula I=V/R will fail the question. It is of course perfectly true and the formula you will need to work out the examples they set. I just want you to pass your Physics exam.
