Their job with whoever they are in a show is to give us the illusion of a relationship. If they can show us they are a couple on the screen, it's easy to do in an event. If a couple goes viral or is super popular, they get endorsements, paid appearances, and commercials. All they have to do is keep up the acting and most of these kids are friends and enjoy each other's company so it is not that hard to do. It's fun to watch, but knowing there is a high probability it's all for the show is more realistic.
