IDK about you but my little sister used to get kicked out of a CSGO lobby as soon as she spoke. She plays Apex and Valorant on JP servers now. She says it's kind of a haven for girl gamers or some shit like that.
just go to Stockholm, and you will understand most likely it will be so, of course, if you are a woman and there are adequate people with you, then they will be more lenient to you, but sometimes you just want to slap another incompetent woman in the face. The problem is that everyone wants to win the game, and no one wants to offend someone, so that he would stop at least giving one kill for 10 rounds, because this will help in winning, but sometimes the maximum hatespich occurs in games
As a girl that’s played valorant for 3 years i’d say it USED to be like this. I just wouldn’t talk first cause it would get annoying. I would only talk if the people seemed nice. I would say now for me personally it isn’t as bad as this. most people are chill but maybe it’s because riot upped their banning policies recently. You can get banned for the littlest things now lmao
I think it's a good thing to ban for small things too when it comes to that kind of issues. I think if you can get banned for cheating even just once, you should get banned for being sexist/racist/homophobic even just once too.
No offense to you gamers, but please use the mute button more rather than listening to bullshit and torturing yourself. Someone saying dumb shit is pretty much baiting your reactions. Never gives them that satisfaction of controlling you.
Ngl, everything they said to her in valorant, i heard daily in csgo/cs2 between guys. Guys moaning into the mic, threatening each other, sexy talk. Idk, when I watched the video all I'm thinking is "yeah, but I hear that sht daily in cs when no women play 🤣"
I don't think grouping all members of one community into one category is correct. I've played over a thousand hours of Valorant, and I've met some really respectful and nice people who treat minorities like equal just like myself.
@@EdwardJMackYeah but no one can deny Valo has a specific toxicity problem, that in itself shows a big majority in the player base has a problem. Just like in LOL
I’ve been playing CS for over 15 years, never have I ever heard someone talk to a girl like this in CS. There were some cringe and idiotic moments, but nothing diabolical like this. Valorant is next level.
That’s the most dope thing I’ve ever heard. I only played cs for a couple months and I heard the most racist shit ever. Only reason you don’t hear shit like that with girls on cs is because girls don’t play it.
I can assure you, whenever I queue with girls I hear some horrific shit from randoms, purely because they're girls. It's even worse when they play well
@@Anderslaw never happened for me when I que with them. I think theres a stigma now, so most guys either don't talk to the girls, or just don't say much.
bro this makes me so sad. People think this is a average valorant game. I have 2 k hours in valorant and there where girls on my team every tenth game and this shit happened maybe 10 times
Idk if there is a difference between ranked and unranked lobby, but as a mostly unranked player in EU, I rarely see smt like this, luckily most of the time people don't mind and play normally. Also as a guy who get misgendered as a girl for my name, I can count on one hand the times they were toxic. Still that's just my experience and I could just have been lucky, but I wanted the say it to help picture the most of it. (as always english is not my first language so sorry if I made some mistakes) PS: I also wanted to say that looking at the maps and UI it looks like those clips are kinda old so hopefully it's also the community that became better. PPS: I did some research and those clips are like 2 years old, can't say that now there is no toxicity but I hope now it's just random toxicity and less sexist.
tbh this is mostly in low ranks or casual modes but yea it’s super common to have this experience in NA 8 games out of 10. I don’t play Valorant anymore because most people don’t really play seriously
I was around 12 or 13 when I played on community servers in CSS and I dont remember well what they were saying but it was definitely along the lines of this, and they were all american players (because there were no servers in my country / region back then). Today I play valo on SEA servers and this level of sexism and horniness doesn't happen at all. NA people definitely got a problem.
@@not_urmom8021 you clearly haven't seen Mumbai servers. Worst of the lot. Mostly because csgo players shifted to valorant. The amount of times your mother is insulted is insane. Also if you're a female, it's going to have so many go to the kitchen jokes
I played cs1.6 till csgo with my older sister ( i'm 34 now ) There was always some banter here and there, but the fun thing about my sis is she would own ingame and trash talk them into the ground xD Still sad she doesn't game anymore she would be faceit10 100% Wished we recorded all that shit :P
As a valorant player I feel like the more hateful players are in the higher ranks as a silver i rarely see any sexism to gals on my team but my sister in the higher ranks seems to have it happen to her pretty often it might be just because they think since there better than the majority of the player base they think they can do whatever
It’s the other way around but ok as this clip for example no way this guys are above gold Edited: at 11:57 u can even see the ranks even tho it’s blurred I was right lol
I mean maybe you're right but I would think it'd be in the lower ranks because the fact that you're even in a high rank means that you obviously aren't bad at the game so teammates probably won't assume you are even if they are sexist. They might assume the female player isn't as good as they are but they can't deny that she is good enough to have made it into their elo. These are just my thoughts though and hope your sister ignores and mutes toxic people because they aren't worth her time.
I play Valorant but although I am not a female its not very often I see this happen in my own lobbies. And it does matter which rank you are, lower ranks are the worst while higher ranks are almost little to no toxicity, theres still cringe but its mostly just edaters not straight up creeps. Edit: Forgot to add, EU servers are worse from what I heard, im in NA so im not sure.
I duo queue with a female most of the time and the amount of times guys try their best to "vibe" with them is astonishing. They get a million personal questions each match and a lot of cringe comments. At first it was kinda funny how blatantly they were trying, but after a while it gets a bit annoying. I feel really bad for girls who are just trying to play the game and don't want to hear the cringe flirting attempts cuz if they ignore them then the dude will become very toxic cuz you hurt his lil feelings.
you can mute enemy chat and teammate chat, (text chat) Also this is really in the depths of low elo as you can see in these clips. I'm not saying it doesnt happen in high elo, Still happens more likely in low elo
Muting ruins the intended user experience and shouldn't be seen as a solution. Also this happens all the way up to immortal, you just might not see it.
Women have muted and reported players without retiliating many times. We then get sabotaged or end up in a game 3 days later with the same people. It happened to me. Reports being taken seriously used to be few and far between in VALORANT. Nowadays it's been better, but please stop talking down to us like we don't know these options exist. It's a bandaid to a gaping wound that's been ongoing since my Mum played CoD in the 2000s and was subjected to the same harassment and at some points even threat and abuse.
3rd time I see those clips. I'm really chocked I've never heard of like an association for like fair respect of people in video games, like not on the fact their should be as much male and female character, but as in pushes from the association to get these types of things to stop on the editors
Valorant has this ping system where u can open a map and ping a location so a lot of girls use that instead of talking, cant say I fault them, but most of the times nobody cares if a girl is on the team, sometimes its even a little annoying because there will be white knights in the game who will talk and talk... instead of these toxic cringe kids.
This depends on rank and region, I've personally never seen someone talk to a woman like this in game but its definitely a problem. Could also be really fucked up humor
It’s not every game but there are a lot yeah. My duo and I play and run into guys who do this to her, but we usually shut it down pretty quick. It’s def not every game. But it’s more likely to occur as a solo queue than if you have one or two teammates naturally. Also now Val has AI that monitors chat(not sure about voice) and auto bans people.
Female low rank here. I almost never talk first cause I don't want the "oh my god are you a GIRL????"comments. I give comms etc in game and that's it. I had like 3 or 4 rude/sexist encounters but I expected way worse when I started playing. To all the women out there, mute and report the assholes and have fun! They're not worth your time, your rage, or arguing with them!
as a girl, i’ve never met someone toxic on valorant this is crazy to hear. this is what it’s like on csgo but twice as bad almost every game. i cant even play premier cus i get kicked every time i speak
It’s like 2 sides of the spectrum. CS is like violent sexism and Valorant is just creepy incels. The question is, which one would you rather put up with?
I play counter strike for over 10 years now (also played valorant for almost 2 years) and never experience anything close to any clip there... this is insane..
for the entire little amount of time i played val it was eu and i played only with my friends and i havent saw any one flirting with all that stuff i did see some his sage her jett and i miss her and all that cringy shit but i never saw som1 flirting in vc and i only saw like 3 girls mbe in all my games idk whats going on in na but in eu i didnt see anything that lvl of wierd and im also sure its a bit over the top with only clips of harssemnt but its not like i saw any girl in csgo lobby
Tbh I'm not speaking in any game just bc experience like this. In 6R in Ranked game when I said something my teammates was killing me in every round on spawn bc they will not play with a girl. Valo is pretty the same.
I'm playing valorant for like a year now, I would say more of this happen in low elo because in my games there is a lot of females talking and no one is saying this weird stuff to them.
Oh gosh...this is so normal in Valorant! As a female player, i am really thankful to "guys" like them, who motivate me to play better and top fragging ♥
Lol at all the boys in the chat saying they don’t see it that often so it isn’t really that bad like hello?? Why try so much to downplay it? Of course you don’t see it as much you aren’t one of them lol. There’s no possible way you’d be a bystander as often as a subject and that’s even pretending you’re accurate with how you remember things.. it’s just flat out insecurity from boys, thinking that other boys doing bad things and it reflecting on that means they should deny that it happens rather than police their own
well it's still like that. From 10 games are 5 like that, in EU. But I'm playing only unrated and the last rank that I ever got was silver. So maybe it's only in the low ranks? Idk...sometimes I can handle it and sometimes I'll start to cry because I'm already emotional tired and just want to play for fun. Yeah I'm a woman too...
Love how everyone in chat always acts like valorant is the most dogshit game ever made but whenever ohne asks a question about the game everyone answers as if they've played hundreds of hours and they know every detail about it. Such brainless crowd mentality xddd
are you sure those are the same people actually saying both things though? people who dislike it will say its bad, while the ones who like it will be quiet, and the ones who know a lot about it will answer, while the ones who dislike it will be quiet (since they might not know enough about it) and you could also have had experience playing it but still hate it.
its not irrelevant.. obviously the people that dislike valorant (aka not all 14000 viewers) are gonna talk bad but when he wants to know about valorant (another part of that 14000 viewers) the people that play it will respond. kinda hur dur caveman brain bro@@michygod
It's just kids being toxic in general, to anyone. To men, to women, etc. They throw insults that fits whoever is the target, like in this case, women, they throw sexist insults.
when me and my friends play Valorant our friend constantly gets friend/party requests and there are lots of weird people in this game she gets lots of strange messages I mean some people are trolling like the one who told her to go back to kitchen ngl I laughed
I cried. This is offensive and degrading. And to think that men i probably randomly pass by say these things about me in their head. I dont wanna be on this earth, man.
I played cs with a girl for a few rounds and generally there wasnt too much bullshit regarding sexism or smth but if someone is sexist then they be very extreme probably would also scream at her if she was a guy but insult her in a different way, since shes a girl its easy to just be sexist and insult her like that ig
Personally (As A guy) I have barely seen this in a game, when somebody says "so you're a woman" to one of my teammates Im just like "so what, I dont give a shit just play the game".
CS and Valorant are almost the same when it comes to toxic players. I played both games a lot and in my last team there were 3 girls, who also played both games - and they had very similar negative experiences in both games. One girl basically said she faced more "weird simps" in Valorant and more "insulting maniacs" in CS:GO. I find it quite funny when people try to blame one of these games for it's bad community segments and then say that the other game doesn't have that. Yeah, you might have more cringe e-dating simps in Valorant and in CS you have more hyper-aggressive kids, but in the end both games have a very dark community segment down, down in the rabbit hole. Overall I'd say the Valorant community might be a bit more cringe, yes - but who ever says that CS has no racists, female haters or whatever in it's community, is totally delusional.
I saw clips and stuff but i have never saw it in game i played with a lot of women and the only time one kid tried to trash talk a woman some other guy put him in his place
