Thank you!!!! Ohora should pay you, because I never would have bought them again without this. They got caught in my hair constantly and now not at all!!!

Holly this is great! Thank you so much! I was working too hard, pressing after every application of acetone. Now I know a better way! I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Even seeing a “watch me work” video were you are changing a set would be fun to watch!

You know this works with Dashing Diva nail gloss too. I would put top coat on and a week later take off the top coat, trim them and put top coat back on and it seemed like they lasted longer and didn't lift. Great video!!!
@pink1e
@pink1e 3 года назад
Do you just use acetone to take off the top coat? I have a bubble I missed before curing and it's bugging me lol
@CBerry-zw9go
@CBerry-zw9go 3 года назад
@@pink1e I took it off with non-acetone nail polish remover. Full acetone makes the gloss strip gummy. Also, when you use the acetone, use it lightly. You don't have to take off all the polish. Just the first 2 layers (I put on 3-4 layers throughout the week).

Please fix the camera angle...This is my first time watching one of your videos, and the tight camera shot is not working. I'm sure it is meant to be a close up of the nails and technique but...the nails are often not in the shot and blurry.

How was your experience ? Is ohora good and can lasts like for 7 to 10 days to you?
@M8089s
@M8089s 2 года назад
@@yatyat2791 So far, I like it. My first set of nails lasted just over 2 weeks. My nails are wide towards the tip of my nails so I had to stretch most of it. Looks easy to do but it took me about 45 min, it felt like it took forever but only because I was watching a movie while doing it. Haha. I’m on my second set and it’s doing great. I definitely like it better than painting my nails and overspending to get my nails done. Also, I’ve only been doing manicures. My right handed so my left side looks better than my right 😅
@yatyat2791
@yatyat2791 2 года назад
Same here girl ^^ I just painted my Nails and it's horrendous 🤣🤣🤣 took me more than 1hr because my hands shaking all the time... So upon doing your ohora did you use this acetone technique that's why it lasted 2 weeks for you??
@M8089s
@M8089s 2 года назад
I actually didn’t do the acetone trick. I didn’t have a small brush and I wanted to see how it would do without the acetone trick. I just pushed down hard at the side of the sides of the nails. Thought that it may help it blend into my real nails and stay on longer and it worked! Haha. My hair did start to get stuck in my nails maybe around 12 days

Sorry if I missed it but can I do this with Dashing Divas wraps and/or Color Street? I’m new to these and this whole concept but I like knowing tips and tricks! My mind is blown that the acetone doesn’t seep underneath the sticker and mess up the adhesive 🙀 how..what?..why??

@petiteflower5259
@petiteflower5259 3 года назад
I tried this with Dashing Diva Glaze strips and it did not work at ALL. The polish didn't melt and the acetone definitely got underneath to the adhesive and they ended up falling off really quickly after. Maybe just a difference in what they are made of (or maybe I did it completely wrong, also a possibility). I haven't tried Ohora so maybe I will get a few sets of those to try out at some point.
@thatohoragirl5244
@thatohoragirl5244 3 года назад
Yes, I agree... I didn't really notice any effect with the Acetone Trick on Dashing Diva Glaze either. It also doesn't really seem very compatible with Zinipin, even though they are thicker, they seem to be more sensitive to acetone. In my experience though, both of these brands didn't really have any hair snagging with proper application so perhaps just skip it. :)
@minminsun7805
@minminsun7805 Год назад
Ohora strips are much thicker than Diva, Color Street etc. as it is flexible and stretches unlike those other brand stickers,that why it won’t work with those stickers.

@thatohoragirl5244

I haven't tried that, but it could if you file your strips before curing. I would just recommend making sure you press down those tips very very well to prevent any acetone from getting to the adhesive. :)

@thatohoragirl5244

At that time, I was using the Ohora primer. It's meant for users with dry nails who have a hard time removing the strips without damage. If you have naturally oily skin and nails, you probably won't need the primer.

So I'm just asking since you may know why I'm failing at this. I've tried this. I followed your instructions perfectly. I've actually been doing my own hard gel, liquid gel, acrylics, dip, you name it I've done it for 20 years and as much as I like these ....I cannot get them to stop snagging my hair even with your tips and tricks. Is there something I'm missing? I use nail dehydrator to make sure it's not an oily bed problem.. I've used the top coat before and after method. And lastly I've tried the tips you've given about the acetone around the cuticle and it still snags my damn hair every time I touch it 😭😭😭

It might actually be your hair. I have super fine hair and I swear everything gets snagged on it. I am going to try this tonight and see how it goes but my guess is the trick will work depending on how fine your hair is.

Can you do this after they are cured?
@thatohoragirl5244
@thatohoragirl5244 3 года назад
No not really, it only works when the strips are still soft and pliable. However if they are already on and snagging and you want to try to give them a little more longevity before replacing the set, you can file down the cuticle edge to make it smoother and reapply top coat to form a new seal...that has worked for me in the past. Good luck!

Ohora (and most of the other Korean brands like Zinipin and dashing diva) has more of a dome than cheap Amazon brands made in China. This is why I prefer Korean SCG, because they look more authentic and less “stickery”.
