Hi Jennifer, just watched this video and enjoyed the content. Being from Australia, the Australian Aboriginals have been using this style of art to tell the stories of their history, and there are examples that are over 40,000 Years old. An easily found example is on one of the locomotives that pull the Ghan passenger train from Adelaide to Darwin.
Please do not beat yourself up! She is beautiful! I am writing this while you stopped and started talking about top light and the candle. I couldn’t get a time stamp when you stopped and I started this comment. I love her! She is gorgeous! I have to do this! You inspired me with these! COLOR FLICK? I have to see that! Thanks🙏💜🙏💜🙏
Jennifer! I really don’t get to watch RU-vid much, when I do I come over hear bc I love your knowledge and you are such a great kind person. The music is fantastic! It is soothing to hear instead of the pounding or heavy music. Thank you so much for playing great soothing music! Thank you so much! 🙏💜🙏💜
I'm a big fan of the pointillist artists! They received a lot of criticism from their peers. The main difference: Pointillism is always in color where as stippling is usually in black (ink pen) or at least monotone. 👍😉
At about 31:00 when you are using the POSCA Pen, OHMYGOSH! Beautifully amazing paint dotting! I love it so much! Maybe another pic @ regular time, of course smaller pic, for your time! Please more of these videos paint dotting. YOU HAVE ME INSPIRED TO DO THIS! Yes 👍 I will be doing this!💜🙏💜🙏
This is AMAZING...have been following you for awhile now. Because of your tutorials it gave me the courage to step up my game with Prismacolor premier pencils and colorit gel pens. I was toying with the idea of the Ohuhu markers and was a bit hesitant because I thought this particular medium would be a bit flat and it didn’t really appeal to me. However seeing what you accomplished with this medium totally changed my mind. Very inspiring. Absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to get these markers. Point blank..you totally ROCKED this!👏👏👏
Oh my gosh Jennifer, that is so beautiful! I would buy it and hang it in my art studio! I love it so much. I have always been a fan of pointillism and I am definitely going to try this. Although I am going to take like, days long breaks because it will definitely wear me out.
Oh, wow!!! I absolutely loved loved how this turned out! Your whole process from start to finish was really fun to watch. The end effect was gorgeous. I do dotillism on rocks, and they are really beautiful, but I've never tried to color a picture using pointillism. They're very similar, but different. I thoroughly enjoyed the music you played along with your video. Such a beautiful video in many ways. Thank you, and I'll be coming back for more of your artwork. I just subscribed. BTW, your dog sitting next to you was just precious!! :)
Wow you did an downright amazing job. I loved watching you work, what a great colorist you are. it reminds me of the great paintings done in this method. perfect very exciting.
I love this! I will definitively be trying this. Have you ever seen Australian Aboriginal dot art? It is very striking and beautiful. The abstract nature of the dots helps disguise the sacred meaning behind the designs.
I'm amazed. Your picture is rather fetching. I really like the end result. I didn't expect it to look as good and nearly didn't watch the video but I'm so glad I watched this though. Yes I will be trying pointillism. I'm thinking I'll use this technique using Inktense (as I don't own markers) on my next background. After that maybe in a whole picture. Thank you for turning cross-eyed for us in order to teach this💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙
I have used the stippling method to shade my Zentangle drawing... course just using a black pen. Love how you can get into a real "Zone" as you are laying down the dots and I think it helps train the eye to see how the shadows fade out into a lighter area. Thanks for sharing in color.. I think I will try using my Faber Castill pit pens rather than the alcohol markers..
I also got the new ohuhu 320 markers this one has a fine point and brush tip can't wait to get them to and the artwork you're doing there is awesome I want to try that myself when my new markers comes I would like to try that myself sure is cool a different way of coloring
AMAZING!!! Oh my gosh Jennifer I was in such a funky mood tonight and watching this made me feel so uplifted! Plus I’ve had some sharpie fine liners for months that I haven’t touched and now I’m practicing stippling with them on the other little witch page you have! Thank you 💗
Wow, I love it!! I did a project on this a long time ago and I've been fascinated with the whole concept. You did a fantastic piece!! I might try it again... might lol 😁 🇨🇦
Hi Jennifer, never heard about this. Wow, I really like how the colouring page come out. It must have taken hours!! I can imagine, that your eyes must have been quite tired by the end of it. Really was very effective.
Totally love your picture Jennifer. Yes I have did pointillism before and I love it...plays tricks on the eyes and need to take many breaks but such a fun way of coloring. Again your picture turned about awesome.
I would love to try this because the finished picture is so whimsical. I do have trouble with my eyes so not sure if I could do it. Also vertigo so dots might not be so good either. Small amts of time would be the trick for me so will surely give it a try. Thanks for this demonstration. Will let the other ladies at my coloring classes here in the villages Florida know more about this sight as we get somewhat out of lockdown. They love new challenges.
Your picture looks beautiful! I have done this with fine liners but I haven't thought about using something with a bigger nib. I have a small set of Ohuhu markers, I think I will give it a try.
Hello from Mexico, this came out beautiful. I was going to use gel pens, now I think I may just use tombow markers. I have my picture picked out, just not sure how j want to do the colors I have chosen. This was extremely helpful
👍👍YAY for pointilism! So glad to have come across this video. I can not remember exactly when I was introduced to it, but I was a child at the time (now a senior). I fell in love with it & several famous paintings by the well-known artist, Seurat. Years ago, my best friend gave a book to me that was done by a modern-day artist who did pointilism-type work in black ink. Sorry, I have forgotten his name & do not have the book with me now. His work was amazing too. Off & on, I have done some pointilism over the years. I am excited to have found your channel! I have subscribed & look forward to more art lessons with you. Thank you! 😊 PS: Please enter me in your giveaway.
👍👍Jennifer, I finally remembered the name of the modern-day pointilism artist I referred to recently. He is Robert Sexton; have you heard of him or seen his work? 🌞
Fantastic piece of art, so different and effective. Really appreciate the amount of effort it took you to complete, has definitely inspired me to give it a go as soon as I can afford some markers. I live in the U.K. so cannot enter your giveaway. By the way I love your channel. 🖍📒❤️
Absolutely mesmerizing to watch. I had a boyfriend in high school who gave me an amazing pointillism drawing he did in high school art class that he kept telling me was for his little brother. I was amazed watching him create it and just as hypnotized watching you create this. I have the OHUHU alcohol ink markers and can’t wait to try this technique.
Jennifer now I thought I knew everything about coloring as a adult now this dot thing now I had no idea darn now I am going to practice this on a piece maybe I can send it to you on here or Instagram or FB thanks
