You can wrap your cook wear in tin foil to stop blackening or coat in soap for easier cleaning . Im working on new ideas for my stove all the time ...fun fun fun thanks for taking the time to make this video .
Definitely should do a burn time study with wood, charcoal(lump would be better than briquettes) and then alcohol. That would be informative and interesting. Great video!
I use scrap wood from my scroll saw cut offs , I cut them in small lengths and get a 40 min burn . Wood pellets they say over a hour . Thats on my list to buy 10 bucks here for a forty pound bag of wood pellets ,light and east to pack mix with twigs etc
The main problem with this stove are the three folding pot supports. When the stove is packed away, the pot supports are folded inward leaving little room for anything to nest inside the stove. I'd like to put a trangia burner or a cup inside but the pot supports are in the way. On another issue, if you burn a load of wood down to embers, it will be much less smoky and make less soot on your cookware. It's a great little stove! You can use a trangia inside, too.
I find the alcohol plate better as a ash catcher , or to make a egg. , My cast Iron works great ,fold the the arms in for cup. .you can make a grill for it .done steaks ,eggs burgers grilled cheese etc un fun fun enjoy . Hot dogs even have a mini cast iron cause i can not bring my heavy cast iron with me . Wood , pellets ,scrap wood , twigs etc . Well im muttering on great vid , keep cooking only criticize is every one boils water when it does so much more . Even did a steak on that grill lol ok ok ill stop now , i love the Ohuhu
Why does it seem as though everyone (not just in this video) demo these little stoves in the middle of obviously a forest or field floor full of old dry stick, grasses, and leaves? One accidental tip over and you've got a nasty fire.
