The navigator that Polynesian need to know of is Malupo from Lapaha his son Malupo Neau mo Lakepa... also Malupo of today, but the 1st two named all their children after places they fought and won. One of Tonga's vicious warrior Tuifua metemete.... has lots of children in Ponapei and Truckies of Micronesia. How do I know? I'm here at Micronesia and lots of kin folks are here. 'Ofa atu.
Hey I couldn’t help but I see you have referenced tuifua metemete, I’m from lapaha and that name is in my family. Where do you get your info from I’d like to read more into that history.
'Oi inu le 'ava ee, tau fa'a sulu'ia 'i le 'alofa Oi soi lenaa, soi lenaa mala Tu'i Tonga toki sala Lau manu laa ee Oh, drink the kava, let us get drunk on love! Oh here is, here is a misfortune The Tonga king has just died Sacred birds are on the wing
You see... Lapaha folks kept history of their explorer thu. music and dance.... to this very day. Only to lost their connection with Samoa during the Ha'atakalau era. Everywhere they travel and fought... they took a piece back home... and women always. People of Lapaha are made of different Polynesian islanders including women from Micronesia. Lapaha warriors also brought with them some Fijian to the island of Chuuk in Micronesia.
@USOLJAH650 Actually it is a Samoan dance and lyrics from way back in the days. Ancient and imported to Tonga... It was passed down by memory through generations and generations and still they preserve this piece of historical dance that survives to this day. Interesting how many of our Tongan dances were brought from Samoa.
Vai P sorry bro kuukuu ifo gai lalo samoa mea uma gale laa faimai oukou o mea a samoa siapo o mea a tonga e leo se mea a samoa o le sogaimiki ma le malu gae faimai o mea samoa o mea uma a koga
It is Samoan and it ties to the village of Lapaha. Funny how people recorded something from this very village and claimed it for themselves. Dr. Mahina concluded his doctorial interviewing folks from Lapaha.... he claims its his finding. Professor Futa Helu paid lots of Lapaha folks for the information of ancient histories... also claimed. Still to now only folks from Lapaha sings it at its best and dance.
Samoan ties my ass this is our ancient language and it can sang by our Tongan people oh dont forgetting it influenced in Samoa by the Tui Tonga sit down and be humble dont run your mouth too much 🙄🙄
It’s what the Samoans used to sing to the Tui Tonga like as when Tongan ruled Samoa there was a chief (Samoan high chief) him and his village would sing these songs to the Tui Tonga
@@lewiskalaniuvalu2280 Just so you didn't know, Tui Tonga didn't rule Samoa because he was Samoan by blood, "Aho'eitu" the first king of Tonga was the son of Tui Manu'a a ancient Samoan king from the east, Tui Manu'a empire was more powerful then the Tui Tonga empire, the Tui Tonga only ruled some parts of the big island of Savai'i but the Tui Tonga's biggest mistake was when he tried and take over Upolu island, the home of the two "Tama a Aiga"(Royal family) of Samoa known as "Tui Atua" and "Tui A'ana" but that was Tui Tonga's biggest mistake was when he thought he could defeat the warriors of Upolu, Samoa is a divided kingdom, and it's also the residing place of Tagaloalagi, the current rulers of Tonga are known as Tui Kanokupolu meaning HEART AND FLESH OF UPOLU, both Tui Tonga and Tui Kanokupolu are descended from Samoa.
@@HAMOEVACHEEHOOO stop with the speculations man only the Tui Kanokupolu reference is true not the Ahoeitu reference lol Tangaloa is both God to Samoans and Tongans and no he was not a son of a Tu`i Manu`a because if he was we would clearly state it to be so. There was no clear demarcation of countries back then because there were no borders as to say this is Samoa and this is Tonga. All islands were equal but were obliged under the rule of whoever hold the might of the seas. In this case Tonga held the strength and they did rule parts of Samoa.
Colonial board lines has isolated our cultures. Compared to the past when the cultures would combine more naturally. Traveling freely between islands is more difficult. We are land locked waiting for airfares instead of traveling freely across the Moana.
It is our Tongan old traditional language and you used it because we colonized your ass and enslaved you in your own country for 400years and imagine how long it tooks to speak our old chant language thank you next
Manuka chiefs from Ancient Tongan practice called Tokatufa Umutakitaki Ofu Ta'u Pangai Sangone Pulemelei Siaheulupe built by Tuitonga Momo similar to Talietumu in Uvea built by Tuitonga Kauulufonua Fekai PapaiFa TuiFolaha Tuifalefa all from Tongan Empire lol
