I really like Oikawa's character. He reminds me of the quote "Hard work beats potential". Oikawa knew that Kageyama had way more potential than him, so he worked harder than everyone else to become the the top setter. Of course, it's very much possible for Kageyama to surpass him but he still has a lot of work to do.
See, the whole point of Oikawa's character is that he's NOT a natural, and that it took him a lot of hard work for him to get where he was, but I do think this song applies to EVERYONE in Haikyuu, not just Oikawa. Still love it though, I can tell you put a lot of work into it.
i think the whole point is that oikawa isn't a natural and that he's worked so hard to get to where he is now, and that he's surrounded with naturals and he's trying to not fall beneath them
@Rəşid Qasımoğlu dude omg what I just found out about hinata and now this I'm trying so hard to wait for season 4 to end without reading the Manga 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The thing about this is, Oikawa is anything but a natural. He is one of the only characters in Haikyuu that didn’t have any talent but became such a good player and one of the best in the entire series. He worked for every single thing he achieved. Unlike a lot of other players. Hinata didn’t really work for his amazing reflexes or jumping power. Ushiwaka didn’t work as hard to become a spiker as Oikawa did to become a setter. He is the hardest working character in the series and it’s sad that he didn’t get the chance to go to nationals because the rest of his team was just a bit too weak.
Wow, that ending scene with Oikawa and Iwaizumi after they lost to Karasuno is so powerful. The animation is beautiful, the hint of irritation and redness under their eyes from crying, the fist bump at the end... I'm not even a Seijoh/Oikawa stan (I know, boo), but it can still really get to you emotionally.
Wait guys here me out. What is all tye captains were on a team together and faced their own teams. -Kuroo -Bokuto -Ushijima -Oikawa -Daichi -Terushima -Fukurodani They will be unbeatable👁💧👄💧👁
Kuroo’s reflexes, Daichi’s stability, Bokuto and Ushijima’s spikes, Terushima’s adaptability and energy, and Oikawa’s serves and sets. That would be one hell of a team.
Will you hold the line? When every one of them has given up and given in, tell me In this house of mine Nothing ever comes without a consequence or cost, tell me Will the stars align? Will heaven step in will it save us from our sin, will it? 'Cause this house of mine stands strong That's the price you pay Leave behind your heart and cast away Just another product of today Rather be the hunter than the prey And you're standing on the edge face up 'Cause you're a natural A beating heart of stone You gotta be so cold To make it in this world Yeah, you're a natural Living your life cutthroat You gotta be so cold Yeah, you're a natural Will somebody Let me see the light within the dark trees shadowing What's happening? Looking through the glass find the wrong within the past knowing Oh, we are the youth Cut until it bleeds inside a world without the peace, face it A bit of the truth, the truth That's the price you pay Leave behind your heart and cast away Just another product of today Rather be the hunter than the prey And you're standing on the edge face up 'Cause you're a natural A beating heart of stone You gotta be so cold To make it in this world Yeah, you're a natural Living your life cutthroat You gotta be so cold Yeah, you're a natural Deep inside me I'm fading to black I'm fading Took an oath by the blood on my hand won't break it I can taste it the end is upon us I swear Gonna make it I'm gonna make it Natural A beating heart of stone You gotta be so cold To make it in this world Yeah, you're a natural Living your life cutthroat You gotta be so cold Yeah, you're a natural Natural Yeah, you're a natural
Honestly, it doesn’t, and that why this Amv/song is so ironic and fitting. The whole point of oikawa is that he’s worked so hard to get where he is, and he’s always going through the internal struggle of not getting behind the real naturals (kageyama)
Mert Alkas exacly people say he is not talented but In fact he is maybe not as talented as Kageyama or Ushijima but he has some talent plus he has worked sooo hard to be In the place he is now and that would be quite a moment until Kageyama reach his level
Iga Bonk Also even Ushijima acknowledges him and said that he should have come to Shiratorizawa. He is still one of the best and Kageyama learned a lot from him..
Kageyama suits Better the karasuno, cause oikawa can't do that Quick. Probably the team would be overall Better(cause he Is a Better server, Better blocker and Better spiker), but the karasuno without Hinata as a decoy would not be that efficient. The real change would have been Oikawa for shirabu in shiratorizawa. I think that shiratorizawa would have been the stronger contender for the Nationals. Above inarizaki, fukurodani and itachiyama.
