Here in North America, infrastructure is not ready for electric vehicles. People just buy it for cool factor. Practically, ICE cars make more sense as of now. And keeping oil industry only for plastics and polymers is not gonna be economic. It is becoming difficult to produce oil as conventional oil fields are already in last phases. So unconventional resource development, efficient refining and CO2 emission control are the next challenges for oil industry. Now challenges bring opportunities also. As of now, due to pandemic, oil and gas industry has not much job openings in Calgary and Houston. But the industry is always cyclic and is impacted by oil prices.

I am mechanical engineer having 5 years of work experience from gulf as a project engineer in onshore oil and gas industry. Now I want to move to Canada by applying for masters in oil and gas from alberta. Though you have clearly mentioned oil and gas industry would not go any where in near future. By hearing energy transition toward zero carbon emissions and too much talk for renewable energy makes little insecure towards entering in the oil and gas sector. So, can you elobrate or make a new video on same topic with consideration of all the new update. Also can you answer, how much it is worthy right now to do a masters in oil and gas from Canada in 2023?

Sir lithium aur dusre metals k barey main bataien jo battery main lagte hain specially lithium....kya itna lithium hai worldwide produce krne k liye k oil replace ho jayga ?? Which all countries produce/mine them and their current rates which will eventually depend on increasing demand...also battery life.. Banking jobs are not directly affected by slump in oil prices as there are various other sectors to support it. But considering it makes biggest part of provincial wallet, it has overall effect on economy e.g. houses prices stagnate or go down or housing market dries up, people have less disposable income etc.

Canada does not do much ship building anymore as it is very expensive to build ships here when compared to India, China or other parts of world. For maintenance look at port cities like Vancouver, Halifax, Montreal, Prince Rupert.

Hello Sir! I am API 653 certified storage tank inspector. I have been doing inspection of oil storage tanks and oil pipelines and pumps. I also have experience in inspection of fire fighting facilities such as fire engines, hydrant pipelines. I am appearing for API 570 and 580&581 certification. After these certification and experience, and supervision of NDT jobs such as UT, MPI, LFET, can I get any job in Canada/Middle east in oil sector?
