Always nice work, Jose. What I like about your videos is that you talk about what it means to be an artist, while you paint. And the experiences you describe are as much of a help as your techniques. When you talk, the viewer gets the feeling of belonging to a community of artists. That's great. Thanks, keep it up.

Jose, thank you for sharing your studio and philosophy with us. I literally am speechless watching you paint. I don't know if you realize this but you naturally make little faces or portraits within the painting your painting. I have seen it several times in your work. I hope this description makes sense but it watch yourself paint in this video you will see at several points in the painting little faces but 2 larger portraits, one in the vase like a woman as you progress with layering color and one to the lower right in the flowers on the edge of the composition that looks like the bust of a man with sunglasses on. your gift blesses me beyond words.
The price point is about the same but, www.arttreehouse.com/ has walnut oil along with some other interesting mediums. Their oil is cold pressed and water washed instead of being alkali-refined.
I like listening to u , BUT. miss talking back and forth with u. Talking is fun. Recently I have Gone into acrylics and enjoying it A lot. But, it is harder to handle than oil's, but. I like it and I can do what I can do with oils. Water can make acrylics crack and fall off the canvas So I jesso my canvas and I do prime my canvas with a color. Then the picture Is half done-- ha-ha. Acrylics can be thin so if you are goi g to buy--- go ahead and get the best Because it easier to paint with than Cheaper acrylics. I use gesso in a bottle to mix my acrylics and it makes the paint wonderful. This is The secret-- that I telling u. Oh by the way, I thaught I mention--' I AM A FAMOUS ARTIST. But just because I am famous I still enjoy u being Sucessful also. Jose has taught me a lot and I WISH---I WISH--' I could Meet him and share in the fun he is Having in his studio. He a GREAT MAN and JESUS LOVES HIM.
I honestly like the piece better at time 34:12. Towards the end you kind of lost the flowers...and over all it seems overworked..... maybe you got so finvolved in the conversation...lol...unless that’s the look you were after. Of course, aesthetics is a matter of personal opinion.
