Glad I saw this vid. Mine was struck and repaired and still weeping oil. Don’t think I will remove it. I can deal with a little weeping 🤣. Tks for sharing.

Been that way since 2012. Loctite 5910, Threebond, Right Stuff all great sealants.

Cat informed me that it is Loctite 5699 RTV gasket maker. I know this video is older but I am in the process of doing this now.

One of those suction things that looks like a grease gun !

It's like a Toyota oil pan. Form In Place Gasket ready to go in 15 minutes, but not as easy as a conventional gasket...

How did you bleed the oil? Anything special to do with that electronic oil pump?

Didnt take oil pump apart , so no need to bleed anything !

Usually only have to bleed oil pump , if the supply to pump is interrupted , but if its on the pump to motor side , not needed !

What are your thoughts on using synthetic ATF fluid in the chain case? I am thinking if it works in your transfer case on your pickup it would work well in the chain case too.

Some guys use it , personally I use a gear oil !
