Oil Strumming of course

Rake strumming is when you strum with two (or more) fingers separately so that with every hand movement you strum twice. So if you spaced out two fingers, you'd upstrum, each individual finger would strum up once, and then you'd downstrum, and each finger would strum down once. This is a little unwieldy but it, in effect, lets you strum twice as many times per arm movement. Normally, this pattern is fast enough that you'd want to rake strum it, as you couldn't strum it regularly without understrumming eventually. But with this method, you rake-strum the first half and then switch to regular strumming, where you're actually able to hold onto the combo.

@@VanessaMagick Rake strumming actually depends on your strum bar, in the case of Jared’s he only needs to use 1 finger because it’ll bounce and register 2 inputs if he hits it hard enough.
