Yes it was the best there was a lot of emotions in season 2 when Maxie pissed me off when Abby tried to make her feel better with a happy birthday banner she just gave her a dirty look and rip it🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🥴 but overall Maxie is so happy and positive even when she’s sad she turns it into a joke that’s what I love about her as for Ginny she made me mad in season 1 cuz why shorty always mad with a attitude she better fix up season 2 she was mad mad 🤧 and uhhhhhh hopefully Marcus and Ginny are back dating 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 and I also felt bad for Ginny for doing self haram like cutting herself 😭😭😭😭 but thank god she got the help she needed
Unrealistic? You can definitely say she’s annoying but clearly y’all have never had a drama club at your high school. She is like every dramatic, overly excited theatre girl that has main character syndrome😭 loud, bossy, and just a mess of emotions. It was scary accurate
Season 2 is a blessing for Ginny's character. We finally get to explore more of her mental health and her struggles with her mom are more about her past and her trauma and seem less petty than in season 1. Also, Antonia Gentry's (Ginny) acting in this season? Fantastic! Love that we got more of Bracia as her own person with her own hobbies and love interest and as more than just a distraction for Ginny whenever her toxic friend group is toxic.
Season 2 was such a pleasant surprise from season 1! Like seriously it's such a different show and 10x better than season 1. Let's hope this show gets a s3 💅🏾
@@marklouis1890 Lmao 😂you are so fucking right. You guys know the tv show "The Society" ? Show had potential to be one of the best shows & they cancelled it & didnt even make 2nd season
I personally never saw Ginny as being annoying…..I just thought that she was a typical teen girl acting like how most teen girls act, but the only difference is that her mom was keeping secrets from her, and constantly lying to her which of course made Ginny upset with her.
This is such a hot take in this fandom and I never seem to understand. No one ever tries to empathize with her but they have a ton for Georgia who’s a grown woman making awful choices that are literally ruining her children’s lives…
To be fair, parents do usually keep some secrets from their kids and it's not a bad thing. It's usually because their kids don't need to know about it. I can't really remember season 1 that well, but kids and parents don't have to share every secret with each other and there can a boundary line on that aspect. Otherwise, I agree with what you said
I completely agree. People keep talking about season 1 Ginny and how much of a spoiled brat she was but shes literally 15 years old and has never experienced a stable home/life up until this point? Add on puberty and how dramatic high school can be for teens - both this season and last season were pretty accurate portrayals for a teen girl in her position. Like of course as the audience, we are older than her and KNOW what Georgia is hiding so we will automatically have more sympathy than Ginny will.
Me too last season I thought that Ginny was a spoiled brat, but she actually makes a lot of great points and I'm glad she's getting help for her self harm
As a Psychology student that first therapy session was bullshit, we are taught to make people feel comfortable and make them know that we're interested in helping them and we're going to listen no matter what, and that has to be built with a technique called rapport, is not just "oh hey, hi, just start talking" ...wth 💀 the first session is supposed to be like a guided conversation (interview) using empathy and rapport, otherwise the person is going to feel like you're a machine that doesn't actually care and just want to get to the point fast so you could get the money 💀, The other sessions only worked because of how they wrote Ginny's responses, but all of them were such a good representation of mediocre therapy, looks like they juts wrote that therapist from their personal experience and didn't get the opinion of an actual professional.
the therapist's reactions to georgia also pissed me off. like bruh it's obvious the mom has serious problems too & needs help, but instead she just confirmed georgia's fears that she's a bad mom & therapy is bad. annoying as fuck
Also, I don’t think it was okay for her to say “hey, your dad told me you sh”…you can’t approach everyone like that, or you’ll be causing a lot of distrust between them & the parent. She could’ve asked if she has any unhealthy coping mechanisms. Let your patient share that information on their time
@@hamletscrushtherapy isn’t bad. Hate to break it to you, but the therapist was actually calling out Georgias narcissism. Which SOMEONE needed to do because nobody but Paul and Ginny called out Georgia on her BS
@@hamletscrush i mean it was ginnys session georgia needs to get help but it wasnt the therapist job to help her its her job to help ginny who needed to tell georgia what shes feeling
@Hamlet's Crush nah not really. All she really did was tell her that it wasn't her session, it was Ginny's, cause Georgia kept making it about herself. But she was definitely annoyed when Georgia forced herself into Ginny's session
She definitely didn't and I felt bad for Georgia in that moment and the parents were par for the course horrible, but they didn't have to talk about her right when she's still in the house
I honestly feel so badly for Ginny! I've felt badly about her situation since the beginning! She has been uprooted endlessly and grew up right along with her mother. She has never had stability. She learned that he mother ruined her credit, and then lied about taking out cards under Austin's name! Ginny is having to keep all these secrets and that is a lot of pressure for her. How many mother's do this much to their children and then keep strong relationships with them. Ginny's entire idea of her mother was shattered in season one, even if she did understand why her mother killed Voldemort. If he hadn't been inappropriate with Ginny, then Georgia might not have killed him. That is ALOT to weigh on a child's consciousness. Also, don't forget the impact that her parents on again off again relationship caused on her, as well as never truly having friends. She has never felt like her dad was really hers, he has always been under her mother's spell. And she has never felt like her mother was 'mothering' her. Georgia was always trying to be a friend. I understand Georgia had her reasons, but it would have been a good idea to start explaining some things to Ginny.
As someone who deals with S.H. I can say that it’s not so much of wanting to do it it’s more of a need to do it cause sometimes when you’re going through lows and feel stressed it seems like the only thing you can do cause that feeling you get of doing it relieves everything and can become addictive I have better ways of coping now but that’s usually why people turn to S.H.
As someone who also deals with it, sometimes you do “want “ to do it, as a need for control or wanting to punish yourself or hurt, for whatever reason. Sometimes it feels good, if you don’t have anyone to turn to or any coping mechanisms. That’s my personal experience
is no one gonna talk about the reason georgia killed the guy was that he was inappropriately touching ginny and saw him do that....or like...did i remember that wrong (in season 1)
Well yeah, it was covered later this season. She just hasn’t gotten to that episode yet so I think that’s why ppl aren’t talking about it in the comment section
Ginny says in season one that the reason she burns is because she has all these feelings that she feels like are gonna burst out everywhere in her body (like her eyes & teeth etc.) and the burning concentrates it for her.
That's what I always associated porcelain skin with as well, but I think in the older times when they would often use certain women as an example of "porcelain skin" or even just "desirable" they used white models. It's just this past year when commercials and Hollywood seem to have an equal balance of race representation in female models.
I think many people disliked max this season. She was very immature and because of it I didn't give the slightest care about her storyline or her relationship w/ sophie. Max is completely immature handling those situations too Georgia also was a bit painful to watch this season too
I don’t like how Georgia was sheltering Austin from knowing the truth about his dad, and lying to him ab sending him the letters I know it was to protect him but she had no problem telling him Cynthias husband and his friends dad was dying lol and he handled that really well and maturely , he just deserved to know the truth that made me look at her character differently
max is definitely realistic lol. sure, most people may not act like her but with her being a teenage girl it's completely normal for her to be annoying, obnoxious, selfish at times, etc. especially bc she actually acknowledges it later.
I find it interesting that Ellen is your favorite character, since to me she is the more mature, adult version of Max (obviously makes sense since she's her mom) 😂
I think this season shows how georgia really isnt a good rolemodel mom nor a good person despite her endearing relatable personality and the hardships she had to endure. She’s likable but that doesnt mean she’s a good person. Her good mom moments and bad childhood dont overshadow that she still killed multiple people and raising her children in a way that promotes violence
@@tessy28 I hated season 1 of the show and never watched the show again because Daphne raped Simon, and then got the happy ending she wanted. I didn't get to see the play in Ginny & Georgia yet.
I'd hate to rain on your parade. I do see why the show attracted so many people especially with the fashion, and the extras nice dresses and clothes. That is at least the best part for me. Though what Daphne did really ruined it for me.
I’m glad how unbias you are most fans just hate Ginny and don’t try to understand her and see Georgia as an angel who can do no wrong when she be doing too much sometimes. I just feel it’s a mother like daughter like situation they both do too much and both go through things that deal with. I feel once they started to understand EACH OTHER more is when they relationship started to work all they needed was a talk.
This!I used to not like her as much when I first came across the show on youtibe shorts. Now that I watched the show, I can see Ginny's side. I love Georgia but Ginny has a right to be upset finding all those lies about her own mom. Yeah, Georgia does alot of Ginny but she has her own battles too. I see way too many hating on Ginny, like did they not watch the show?Georgia took out credit cards under their name! And now thry have a bad credit score on their record, which is damaging to your name!
the second season is SO much better than season 1!! and give georgia a chance. i'm definitely more on ginny's side most of the time but this season gives lots of answers to why georgia is the way that she is
6:55 i struggled with sh and thought i’d provide insight as to why someone would do something to hurt themselves intentionally. 1. it could be to feel something because they are so numb 2. they feel like they deserve the pain/feelings of worthlessness and depression 3. it’s something they can control this was not intended to be rude AT ALL just wanted to share so that others can maybe better understand what drives someone to do this (and obviously there are other reasons) and nobody asked but i’m 6 months 😊
I wonder if the writers saw how everyone hated Ginny and loved Georgia in season one, and I wonder if they were like "... that isn't how it's supposed to be" and so changed up the writing in season two so that everyone would love Ginny and would hate Georgia. Because, honestly? Georgia is a different kind of childish in season two than she is in season one, and it's very VERY noticeable. Like, I'm sorry, but there is no way that a mother who starved HERSELF so that her kid would eat would intentionally starve her KID regardless of anything that's happening. You're going to tell me she was a more mature mother at seventeen than she is at thirty?
@@SHINeeNAilee she’s the same amount of childish. It’s just she wasn’t as annoying in season one. She gave off cool mom vibes. And now that we got over season one, we can see her for who she truly is. She’s always been extremely childish and petty. She was doing the childish and petty stuff to everyone else. Her taking away all the food in the house is on brand for her. She literally sent snacks to her sons class just so the one kid couldn’t get any. She’s a whole child 😂
Ginny was kind of dramatic this season but I get why. Georgia is the reason ginny is so fucked up, like girl you put your daughter through shit no kid should have to experience.
So crazy because Ginny was definitely annoying season one (&this one too tbh) but I was so surprised that everyone hated her ?? Like ?? She's the type of annoying that every depressed insecure 15/16 girl is. She's still sympathetic throughout the story in my opinion- even during her annoying moments
Can you please post the full uncut reactions on patreon 😭😭 I need another excuse to watch this season the 3rd time !! 🤣 ( I’m finishing the last two episodes with my boyfriend today ! I got him hooked now 🤪 ) edit : about to get it now !!
I hope Georgia doesn’t go to jail. Does the PI have proof any that Georgia killed Cynthia’s husband? I thought Austin was the only one that saw her…🤔🤔🤔
noo, don't worry about it! You can't please everyone and there are going to be people who find you annoying or whatever but at the same time there are going to be people who can appreciate you as you are and love the things about you that others find irritating.
honestly to me SH works like this, the pain you’re causing in this case ginny distracts you from the mental pain you’re going through for a moment it’s like the world goes quiet
ginny is better in season two. might be an unpopular opinion, she was still annoying. but less annoying than season one for sure. MAX WAS TERRIBLE. ginny and abby getting closer was beautiful and i think they suit each other. and why haven’t we gotten an update on norah? she’s part of MANG and yet we get no story from her other than her boyfriend and her having two moms. which was mentioned like once. edit: oh, and i loved marcus’ depression arc. he needed more story and i think it suits his character. and ginny’s self-harm getting more intense/ characters having panic attacks/ ginny getting therapy was like the cherry on top of the ice cream. it shows how it feels rare to go through things like that but it’s more common than you’d think. and austinnnn, loved him as always. idk why but georgias husband gives very side character vibes. we know more about Zion, which i mean he is ginny’s dad and she is one of the two most important characters, but like i think we should have more story about him. brayshia got more story, love it. and also loved that ginny hung more out with her black friends. also can i just say i love how the story shows ginny having like three friend groups and we get story on all of them. i still think ginny treated her mom worse than she should’ve but hey, my moms never killed anyone so 🤷🏾♀️. but if she did and she did it for me i certainly wouldn’t treat her like she did it for no reason. but she also mentioned that she felt like it was her fault. ALSO I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT GINNY’S NEW STYLE IS EVERYTHING!! IDC IF ITS GIVING HOT TOPIC SHE LOOKS AMAZING
also yeah, getting more look into cynthia’s character is cool loved it. it wasn’t too deep but like deep enough to get you feeling emotions. HOWEVER, idk about her and joe. i mean they’re both lovelorn, but idk. it just doesn’t feel right.
Some people do selfharm to feel pain, because the mental pain is to much. The physical pain helps to calm down the mental pain. ( PEOPLE PLEASE DONT DO SELFHARM! Even if you’re not okay. Find help. But do NOT hurt yourself )
If I’m having a bad day or if I don’t wanna think about anything serious or if I want/need a good laugh, I watch reaction channels like The Pink Popcast
Honestly, yeah Ginny is kind of a brat. But it makes sense. She’s a high schooler. High school girls can be awful. This season made me so much more emotional than the first though, because personally I grew up with split parents, and when my dad remarried he chose a narcissistic for a wife. So the conversations are so similar to what I’ve experienced. So for me, it was definitely relatable.
They were both kind of rude BUT the mom did so much for her kid and KILLED for her!! Ginnie was also kind of being bratty , they both had their ups and down.
regardless of georgia’s good intentions and rightful reasoning, ginny didn’t ask georgia to kill for her and she shouldn’t have to hold the guilt that a man basically died for her protection. no matter how you look at it, that’s A LOT for a sixteen year old to carry, and naturally (although it isn’t!) she feels like it’s her fault !!
@@strawberryblonde_02 true but that’s also probably why she didn’t want her to find that out in the first place but, unfortunately the truth came out as truths does and it’s now weighing on Ginny.
@@LakiaJaiTV right !! and i never want it to seem like i think georgia is a bad mom bcz i don’t, she loves and protects her kids with literally everything in her. even ginny said in s2, she knows unconditional love bcz of the way her mom loves her and austin. i just really understand where their both coming from :)
Please please pleeeaasseee finish reacting to the rest of the season! This felt like I was talking to a friend haha Your reactions were exactly the same as mine especially during the f!ngering scene. I was like what? who asked for this??
As a self harmer different ppl have different reasons for me its because I punish myself with it and 2. it helps relieve the pain and stress there are so many different reasons but they all have one thing in common we do it because it helps in some way to cope
4:38 okay not tryna be racist, but according to most black people i know i (and a lot of white people i know) are disrespectfull. I think maybe that's a culture thing, like in black culture it's more about respect for adults and for white people you can speak your mind more. Like as long as i don't use swear words i can say what i feel about people according to my parents. Gossip isn't good but if i'm mad at them and they know it is can totally talk about them how Ginny talked about Georgia. Also: about why Ginny self harmed in ep 1, when i have panic attacks i feel like my consciousness kind of flies out of my body wich feels really scary and physical pain brings me back i guess. So i think that's why she self harms.
I couldn't stand Maxine from season 1, she puts a thousand on 10 for most situations and makes every thing about her. She doesn't even have a great relationship with her brother to even be mad or offended that Ginny kept that secret from her, so who cares
Why does everyone love Abby so much? She, Max and Norah ALL kind of suck. Abby is the classic high school mean girl walking into class with a Starbucks jingling her keys
