We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents. And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation. I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next. But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true. We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children, we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children. They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people are pure. Young children have such qualities. I think it's very difficult to analyse this from either a vocal or visual point of view when they're so interlinked. Dimash always does exactly what fits the song, he always has done and in my eyes he's much more a musician than he is a singer. He wouldn't have done a master's degree in composition if he wasn't when he could easily have relaxed and conquered the world on his vocal ability alone
You're not wrong at all mate, but I like breaking things down in isolation so I can try to comprehend how the the individual elements are deliberately constructed to fit together. There's a synergy going on there that's obvious even to the casual observer/listener, but trying to figure out artistically how it's all been designed to work together does take some compartmentalising to an extent in my opinion, (or at least that's how I personally tend to learn from things the best.)
I believe it's different for many people and they will take different things from this, it broke my heart to watch, and I stopped it many times and have watched it many times. The story being told from the mini film is balanced perfectly with the music and Dimash's vocal performance. The way people constantly follow, even when its to the detriment of others. Many historical references to this type of behaviour. The good against the evil. I see the young boy who saved the smaller boy as an act of good, however, both boys love the young girl, and when the tall boy pulls her away on a game of tag, its clear, she is rejecting what he is saying, he steps away and runs back to where she feels safe, sitting on the boat, watching the boy who is not chasing her. He believes they are a team of friends, however, he has not accepted the reject from the girl and the little necklace of all best buddies together doesn't sit well with him. Then it jumps forward, two men who have taken too different paths, one to dominate and spread fear for control the other due to this danger has too stand his ground. Leaving his loved ones too defend themselves. This story is a very old story, and by chance his daughter and wife are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Channeling the horror of war and senseless murder of innocents to the point, he seeks out and kills the Leader of this gang. In turn, the classic "eye for an eye', gets killed in return. Then another innocent is born, and the story jumps forward, watching this child take a different path and leading others to do the right thing. His turn to right. His push to do the right for for all who live under this one Sky. Dimash's interpretation of the bodies lying in the hall, gunned down, was like the rat ta ta of an automatic gun. The pain of birth tied in with the pain of death as he held his dead daughter. All because some, didn't turn away from trailing after the bad guys. Dimash using his platform in this way, was very inspiring and very dangerous to his own career, considering his country is on the boundary with Russia at this time. I have to take my hat off to him. I wish more people who had such a huge platform spoke up more. His vocals held the story up unbelievably and emotionally well. I used up a few hankies on this one. Dimash made some people THINK. There is only one thing I would say, this was written and sung in English and it should have been checked, as the English didn't quite sit well in some parts and those could have been smoothed out abit better. Other than that... loved it.

You just showed how conflict can be avoided. Although some people had their own opinion on how to react, you understood, listened and did it again. Such small steps help to avoid conflicts in everyday life. There are armed wars, ideological wars and wars over a poorly erected fence or a cat that invaded someone else's garden. Greetings from Hungary! A lot of people have had a lot of different opinions about this video, and that's understandable. Even a shima music video evokes different emotions from everyone, and it's not just a music video. We know what Dimash's purpose was in making this, and that's the point, the message, which isn't worth arguing with anyone, and I hope he won't, because that's clear. There may be dissenting opinions, emotions about the music, about how the film was made, about the symbols, interpretation, just not with the message of the video... I really hope Dimash isn't robbed of music by the world of film, even though he's now been awarded a one-year internship scholarship from the American Film Academy, which he's starting this year, I think, in Los Angeles. I agree with a lot of what you said. I don't think the best reaction,,-as I've seen with some dears, is that if someone doesn't get emotionally crushed at the sight of the video, they interpret it as not feeling or understanding the video--- that's not true. A requiem is a chant for the dead. Dimash gives us an Arabic chant or requiem for those who die from the insanity of war. Those seeking life are like the 36 Just Men or the Remnant that realize that living life well is the best revenge. They refute the Babylonian code that seeks an eye for eye and embrace doing unto others as they would want done to them and their loved ones. They refuse to do unto others as has been done to them. Those who live by the sword die by the sword if not physically at least spiritually. Look up the 36 Just Men and the Remnant to understand the symbolism of the group that head towards the light. For you, redemption. Good discernment. Serenity! The Remnant of all those pursuing spiritual growth gives us hope to emulate their compassion and empathy. We all have a spiritual life but some of us me included do not have much of a religious one.

This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life. Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb) So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer. So I liked your thoughts about the lack of connection between them as the cause of suffering. And they are not connected to their own inner world: more suffering. Your final words about the comments... I totally agree. We need to pay attention how much violence we have in our souls, in our words... our society was build by violence and we are so accustomed to that we cannot see it... I watched some reactors being very happy when the soldier Dimash shoot his friend. They didn't get that Dimash is showing that what happened to both of them are sad... Hug from Brazil 😍🇧🇷

The lyricist isn't even English, they is Russian . He is surrounded by non-English speakers so that explains a lot. Today, at the Kazakh artist’s fan meeting with his fans, the audience saw the MV to this work for the first time. The film is based on a story written by Dimash, with his own screenplay. The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. And Gray actually proved the message came across and it is possible. Some Dimash's fans may have said hurting things but Gray didn't act in kind. Instead, he actually did what they wanted and stopped further conflict. He didn't lose anything from doing it except probably his time but then again, he probably wouldn't do it if he didn't have the time to.

Thanks for having this discussion. And yes how silly the fanatics who missed the whole point of the song. If you can’t be kind shut up. One thing many seem to miss is the young Dimash looks into the sky we all share and smiles in appreciation at still being alive. The other boys having saved the young Dimash has forgotten the value of life. Also the religious aspect could include philosophies. They are all seeking enlightenment. Dimash sees his family killed and his spirit (portrayed by pilgrims seeking enlightenment) is tested as he yearns for revenge (pilgrims fighting against the storm). I wondered if the Christ like character dying represents losing faith. How many conflicts are between peoples who used to be friends. Russia and Ukraine an obvious example. Dimash eventually kills the person who saved him poses the question, what limits to tolerance of the intolerant? There’s so much going on it truly is a masterpiece.

I've experienced this on my own skin, there are "dears" who love Dimash, would rave about his humanity, how he treats everyone with respect and all of this but will tera you into pieces if you dare to have different opinion about something. Or for example when someone pause the wideo "too much" or "doesn't pay atention" or (God forbid) points out that Di use playback sometimes. Those loving and accepting people will eat you alive. My take-away from this video is 1- it’s a reflection on the causes of war being driven by misguided beliefs about others and the inability to settle disputes. 2- it has ever been thus is the story of mankind and will continue to be unless we do something different. 3- nevertheless the world contains bullies and tyrants and how do you deal with the evil they cause ? - I think Dimash leaves this question open ie you can’t expect ordinary people to put up with the total destruction of their lives so to avoid defence/revenge you need a world where conflict is resolved before it starts.
In fact, I think Dimash answered your question, although its implementation will take a very long time. Dimash tells us that it is never too late to repent and rethink our values. Even on the verge of his own death! It is our acceptance of the idea of the primary value of human life, the complete renunciation of the use of weapons and violence, the refusal to join ANY side of the conflicts, that will allow us all to join the procession of the righteous , walking along the road to Light and Good. When all of humanity joins this stream, then the wars will stop. Not earlier. Each of us must make this choice.

This is movie epic, wonderful, disconcerting. "The characters are attached to symbols that are passed from generation to generation, through this symbol they are born, kill and die and are born again... always thinking that they will be different, but no". Symbols transcend human understanding, so they are carried by the winds of endless ages so that humanity never realizes its courage and realizes that its life has meaning and follows the path of necessary and urgent evolution. Global leaders, world owners use these symbols and the propaganda narrative to control people's minds, they will easily digest what is behind a symbol that perpetuates itself for generations. Some symbols serve to justify aggressions, invasions, wars, it is the way to unite them robotically and that they cannot think for themselves. When "They realize" that someone has left the cave and can take crowds with them, they create "imperfections in matter" to prevent the children of light, the dimensional ones, from doing the awakening work that would generate the "Revolution". "Piper" in the song, is a reference to the flutist of Hamelin, who with his flute attracts and hypnotizes mice to follow him and die, "Piper" is an analogy to his childhood friend who became the evil leader, who created a war destroying lives in search of a supposed "Union". In the end, Dimash when falling into the water screams "we choose life" it is a desperate cry of "There is no life in war, war is death". It is important and urgent that you get out of the cave, out of your private bubble and realize that you are being controlled by a strange and lying narrative and start to see and observe what is outside, get other information and think and make decisions for yourself. If you don't, you will be just another sheep that meekly walks to the slaughterhouse or follow them to die like a mouse. Only a free and dimensional soul could open the veil that covers our eyes and courageously show and criticize on its platform this subjection to which humanity is trapped. Because this video has so much going on simultaneously, voice ,imagery , storyline ,it makes it almost impossible to focus on one thing, it’s easier to have it wash over you as a whole. The symbol is a gnomon, part of a compass. The bigger guy after crushing it lost his way, imo. Revenge never ends well. It’s about being clever and figuring out a better way. Religion, actually means a re-lesioning of a group a people who agree to follow a set agreed upon, set of rules to follow for the greater good. Then “men” get involved and use it for their purposes and it rather ends badly eventually for most. Only to rise again. One day perhaps instead of believing in “Thou shalt not”, becomes “I shall not”. This world might be a better place. I also loved your first reaction and am delighted that you revisited this. Our society is made up of all types and many relate to the general"s character and yes they too are blind to a message of hope and understanding. God do I know that, I live in the US. The hopeful never sees eye to eye with the hopeless. It's up to the hopeful to continue to champion hope until the hopeless can finally grasp that glimmer of hope and a dialogue can start. Good analysis. I felt like I was in a morgue where a pathologist was doing an autopsy on a corpse - he found the liver, kidneys, heart, and stomach. Only he didn't find the place where life comes from. He wasn't looking. Why would he do that? The act of true art always contains within itself a catharsis and a supertask, otherwise it is not art. One musician plays the notes accurately and unmistakably, and another musician, using the same score, creates musical images that can influence the listener and arouse empathy, capable of "awakening feelings. Not everyone is able to share their spiritual world with others, so there are very few true musicians, artists and poets. You can't dissect an object of art as if you were dissecting the logic of a life situation. Art is different from life, like wine is different from grapes. Art speaks in the language of symbols, images, metaphors, it is associative. The task of art is not to entertain, but to develop feelings that can save Mankind from suicide. In the clip there is a symbol of Power, which wants to establish its own order. There is one country in which people of different races, nationalities, and faiths live. This country has placed 800 military bases all over the world to establish its order everywhere. The citizens of this country think it is right to make a career, to consume, eat and have fun, and they don't care that their country is constantly staging coups, wars, bombing and killing millions of innocent people around the world. Just like Dimash's character underwater, people shout "We choose life!" but no one hears them - they are "underwater. The rational mind allows you to listen, analyze and make mistakes, the developed senses allow you to hear, understand and not make mistakes. Many know what the "cry of the soul" is, but are incapable of hearing it - these people will destroy Civilization.

"Those who choose violence to solve problems create new ones!" That's actually the quint essence of our human behavior what leads to death, distruction and at the end doomsday. And we don't have to love each other either! It's a) not possible, b) not necessary and c) not desirable. We have to RESPECT each other, mind our own business and let other people solve their problems. That doesn't mean we shouldn't act in a HUMANITARIAN way to help other people! As humans we have been experiencing disconnection towards each other on a deep level for a long time now, that its really a desperate call to love. There is no right way to react to a music video other than expressing the deep feelings that are brought to the surface when viewing it. If we are not affected by the message we have missed the whole point. Great appreciation for you!
Any good work always allows the viewer to become a co-author, allows us to create interpretations ourselves, but within the limits of the main author's message. A complex work often requires repeated careful viewing. Dimash's first message: we are born equal, pure, potentially good people. Children are an unwritten book in which life can fit any plot. We see three friends who, as children, are full of nobility and courage (an older boy selflessly saves his friend), a thirst for knowledge of the world and a thirst to share these discoveries. However, already at these stages, the first signs of disagreement appear: a brave boy, pumping out a friend, looks for approval from a girl with his eyes. He wants to look like a hero in her eyes. But the girl does not notice this, her heart has already been given to another, and only his fate cares about her. That's the first disappointment of life - a feat will not make you a hero. You can't expect a fair reward from people. A friend may not meet your expectations. What other disappointments will this boy know, who eventually transforms from a selfless young man into a ruthless and cynical dictator? The amulet (the arrow of the solar clock showing both time and direction) has become a symbol of different ideas in the hands of our heroes. For a couple in love, it is a symbol of unity, indicating their common path (they have become a married couple, they have a daughter and a son will be born in the final). Another boy never accepted this amulet as a symbol of friendship (he does not wear it on his chest near his heart), he bent it in a fit of rage (thus the arrow stopped pointing the right way) and used this amulet upside down as a symbol of his false inverted ideals. He became a dictator (in the lyrics of the song - a Pied Piper, who draws children to destruction with the sounds of his lying flute). Many years later we see that the Dictator unleashed a bloodbath in the name of his false ideals. Many believe that Dimash portrays the opposing side of Good to Evil. I see something else. A patch on the sleeve of Dimash's character is poked into our eyes several times: a complex interweaving of sharp corners and circles. Dimash's character is not a leader, he is an ordinary soldier who has also taken some ideological side. What do these circles and angles represent? Who stands behind Dimash's character and pushes him into battle? Maybe he's protecting his city from invasion? Apparently not! Everything points to the fact that this is a civil war, because the action takes place in their hometown. All three of them lived in this city, and now they are feuding and destroying their home. Waldenberg in this clip is the personification of the whole planet. We all live under the same sky. And in this sense, ANY WAR is a civil war, fueled by various but ALWAYS false ideas, including territorial claims. I think this is the second message of Dimash, directly following from the title of the clip. Therefore, behind the back of Dimash's character is another exactly the same Pied Piper, with complex, confusing and false ideas pushing his followers into this meat grinder. The plaque with the name of the city in Gothic script Waldenberg is a direct reference to the real German city of Waldenburg, completely destroyed by Allied troops during World War II, when there was no need at all, because by the end of the war there were mostly only women and children in this city. The one who was supposed to bring good brought evil. Dimash's third message is that war has no good sides. All participants in wars are somehow agents of evil. Is it an accident that Waldenburg translates as "The City of Waldemar"? Well, or Vladimir in the Slavic version. Both leaders of the modern confrontation are called Vladimir ... Dimash certainly sympathizes with his character, he understands what exactly drives his hero, but does not justify his actions. When his character, driven by anger, despair and revenge, comes to the Dictator for retribution, then a storm begins in a world where souls of different faiths, cultures, ethnicities, epochs who have chosen the road to light (good) have been walking along a thorny road for thousands of years of human history! Dimash's character, having killed his savior, thanks to whom he lived all these years, immediately receives karma in return and returns to the waters of nothingness, where he should have stayed many years ago. At the moment of death, the thirst for life gives him the last most powerful life lesson: acceptance of the idea of the primordial value of human life. FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION! Even for a Dictator! Even for his daughter's murderers! This is the fourth very important message of Dimash. In a near-death epiphany, his hero sees in flashbacks the moments of his life, both bright (shots from his childhood) and unrighteous (shots of how he takes the lives of his opponents). Dimash's fifth message is to rethink your values, it's never too late to repent. It is this repentance that allows the soul of Dimash's character to transform and be reborn in the best version of himself. The waters into which our hero fell are also an allegory for amniotic fluid, an allegory of reincarnation in the body of his newborn son, who, having received such a powerful life attitude from his father, will never take up arms again and will not join any side of the conflict. The soul of a warrior sinks to the bottom of Nothingness completely. All three characters die in this story at the same time, allowing a new soul to be born, giving hope for a better future for Humanity. Dimash is a Muslim, and he does not preach the idea of reincarnation. Reincarnation here is just a metaphor necessary to convey his messages. The souls of the righteous, who once accepted the simple truth about the primary value of human life, raising their hands to the dazzling Light that flooded the horizon, meet their new follower, who joined their march towards Light and Goodness. He is an equal among them, who has accepted his mission as a shepherd, among others, each of whom carries his mission on this path: someone blows a horn, calling for unification, someone brings enlightenment to the masses (a book is a symbol of knowledge), someone carries his cross, and someone leaves the race unable to withstand the hardships of the way. The fifth message of Dimash - the simple acceptance of the idea of renouncing weapons and violence will allow each of us to join this stream of righteous souls. Only when WE ALL join this stream, only then will the wars stop. Dimash wrote the music and script for this video based on his own long-standing story. Everything we see and hear is the flesh of the flesh of feelings, thoughts, ideas of Dimash. Dimash is an ancient soul.
I empathize with your dilemma of needing to fight destrucitive people. It's hard when you feel fight with fire, but I think everyone has been in that position. As you said communication and trying to understand the other side of a conflict is key. It's sad to see fanhood turn into fanaticism. I'm glad to see you respond in an understanding way. If you really look at every small detail you would have noticed how the boy doing the CPR, looked at the girl and saw her relief. Than how he was reluctant to receive the necklace from his friend and even bend it as he squeezed it. It is obvious he is jealous of his friend whom the girls favors. That's how he became the piper.
Did I misunderstand because my take away on this reactors’ observation at the end is a teachable moment . If we can’t have a decent respectful discussion regardless of opinion then say we support the message Dimash works hard to share while being aggressive in our responses then we have failed . I think he was hurt and jealous because the girl rejected him when he was the hero. He had saved the younger boy and yet she chose the boy over him! He could not forgive that, so he did not wish them the happiness and love of a family.
