As a Zimbabwean babe, who absolutely prefers Naija Jollof, I must say that I’ve always thought Ghanian women are extremely elegant. Ah even our former President Mugabe married a Ghana babe, Sally Mugabe, nee Hayfron. Maaaan we all loved her and called her mama. The woman was special and was taken from us way too soon, and we were left with some crazy woman for a first lady 🙈🤣. Anyway, I digress. This Marie ehn, I’m just in awe of her self assurance. Not only is she smart, eloquent and elegant. She exudes quiet confidence. She knows who she is and no amount of pressure will sway her. I loved that she wore her natural hair for her wedding, the makeup was very tasteful and elegant. I also loved the design of her dresses, but in my own opinion (not that it matters) most of her dresses were ill fitted. Infact, I believe I know where she got the inspiration of her white wedding dress from. And before anyone says, “is it not a common style”, yes, the “two in one” style is common, but the top half with the drapping, and the V neckline with lace was an inspo from the bride who married into the Jordan royal family. Look up crown Price Hussein wedding and let me know if you agree with me. The dress is not the same, but very similar, and I believe that’s where Marie took her inspiration from. They were both modest, However, Maries’ dress lacked in the workmanship department, the material also didn’t look expensive and it was not well fitted, which is a shame. As a woman who loves wearing modest clothes, please know that I absolutely love that Marie is very modest. I just think she needs a better eye so that she’s not ageing herself. Infact, if I use the Jordan royal family as an example again. The Queen and her daughters are almost always covered up! Theres no cleavage and most of their clothes are knee length and below. However, the clothes are impeccably made, the tailoring is just chefs kiss. Please look up princess Iman and princess Selma. Then we have Kate middleton, future queen of England. She dresses very modestly too, but her clothes are always well tailored. Then we have The Naija Queen of the Warri, Olori Atuwatse. That woman slaaaaaays 😍😍😍 yet she’s always modest.
