Great light for my job as Aircraft Technician, especially working during night shift in Changi Airport doing walk around check to look out for defects at aircraft structures to prevent any mishap or major incidents. We prefer something small, light & powerful. Passengers safety are Aircraft Technician's responsibilities.
The video has crossed 500 likes! @hazahar Sahak you’re the winner of the EDC27, please email a screenshot of this from your RU-vid admin to hello@nitecorelights.com and we’ll follow up from there. Thanks!!
I use this light every day in my Corrections job. I have used the high lumen strob on a few occasions to temporarily disorient a violent inmate and gain control of a violent situation. This light has literally been a life saver!
Gotta say, this video along with the comparison between this light and the olight and streamlight equivalents sold me. Got one in my pocket now. Thank you!
I would love to see more flat shaped lights like this, for slim pocket carry, love the idea of keeping on in the molle webbing, but also as a rifle mounted light, nice and flat so it doesn't stick out too much... that could be very interesting.
This would do very well at the movie theater where I work, the kids are so disrespectful these days and the 3000 turbo would light there world up lol and it looks very comfortable to carry... Nice job Nitecore
My one issue with this light is the beam width. I prefer a hybrid that has a good center hotspot with a mild flood. Which I feel would be also be more useful for pointing groups of kids in a theatre while also having enough flood to see possible accomplices.
Perfect design! I am a security guard and Carry a lot of stuff around on rounds, i cant yell you how many times we have not enough pockets for the keys, phones, portable radio ánd flashlight. This is perfect, i Really like to test It.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that the flashlight does not turn off after you've used the turbo burst and instead returns to the mode you were on before you hit the turbo switch! I really miss that in my flashlights. I might order this one 🙂
daaaaamnnm..love the design. Flat shape, flood beam, turbo at 3000 lumens. Very suitable for EDC. I've been using Tip SE when doing some cabling jobs on the ceiling where sometimes the space is very limited. Flat shape flashlight is necessary since a cylinders shape light can be stuck when crawling.
Very innovative controls and form factor. I’ve had a couple Nitecore lights and have been very satisfied. As a first responder I would carry this daily. 1000 lumens is usually enough light but 3000 burst is awesome in a light this size!
i have 2 p23i. (got impatient and ordered through 2 different vendors lol). and a p20ix. To be fair, going from high to turbo... (1500L -> 3000 on p23i, 1800L - 4000 on p20ix) in either light, it doesn't seem like that big a jump when looking at it :/ like, it looks like a 100 lumen jump, not THOUSANDS. I expected to be staring into the tendrils of amon Ra when I hit the turbos... but it doesn't jump very high? these are on full batteries.
Been rocking the stream light wedge ever since it came out. It’s been a great light but most nights I find myself wanting a brighter light. I work in Fire and EMS in Florida and use my light on duty for night fires, search and rescue, and just about anything.
Love my wedge! But my first one died after 3 weeks. Would plug it in and it would blink green and red. Got a replacement, went to send the other one back and it started working. 😂
I love my fenix laser flashlight, nice bright and focused beam and still small, lightweight, and still decent price. I like how I can light things up far in the distance with no flood, amazing spot beam
@@apiyutsiyapan9582 I went ahead and bought the EDC27. It takes some getting used to the button on the back coming from the wedge. I like that it has different settings for light, because obviously you don’t need 3,000 lumens all the time. I love it though. It has a safety feature where if it’s off for any extended amount of time it takes two clicks to turn on to keep from activating in your pocket. Very light and very comparable to the wedge, it just has that extra oomf when you need to see further away than right in from of you. Love the LCD screen that tells you how much battery you have and how long it will run for on the given setting. With the wedge it was always a guessing game on how long it would stay charged for. I really like the quick activation of 3,000 lumens, it takes some finesse getting used to the half press rather than the full press for strobe. Hope this helps, I really like mine though, Nitecore did a good job. Solid light
definately will use this for my job as a camp instructor! well used as short turbo to fend against wild boars and its slim and not bulky as it can be brought around anywhere with a low profile especially working with kids!!
I work as a security guard, I would use this light on my duty belt as I am doing my checks. When I get home to my farm property it would be good for checking on my animals and spotting coyotes. I currently have 2 Nitecore lights. This would make a nice addition to my collection.
I'm a HVAC technian. I spend my days in attics. Flashlights are a very big part of my everyday life. I would love to have this great light in my pocket. Thanks for the review. Ill be looking g into it.
I have watched several videos about Security Officer Patrol flash lights. I enjoyed your video because it was straight to the point without any BS. Thank you I am a subscriber and fan of the Mix P20IX. I will advise my co workers to purchase this product.
This is a light that would be on my person at all times because of the slim profile and ease of operation. A great light and of course it's a Nitecore.
Great light for my job full time firefighter, powerful enough to push through smoke but small enough for helmet mounting and small enough to gen under bonnet and into smashed cars to see what we are working with, id love one 👍
this would be so useful for my line of work. i’m in the construction industry and i usually go to sites that don’t have electricity yet so this would really help me when i do site inspections!
I have both and the Arkfeld is very user friendly and has a more sleek design, and the laser comes in handy for meetings and pointing out equipment and what not to others. The only con is that you will be yearning for more lumens in an outdoor environment. Which is why I bought the edc27. It can sustain 1000 lumens for 1 hour and 45 minutes!! That's turbo for the Arkfeld and lasts seconds. The only con is that I burned holes in my pocket from the edc27 accidently turning on turbo mode while I was squating down with it in my pocket. I burned my thigh as well as the holes in my pocket. Need to be very conscious of that. Can't go wrong with either though which is why I have both! Lol
I work as a security guard and the place is pitch black i use to have a cheap flashlight but it die so now is me and total darkness. For the win!! Lets Go!! 🔥🔥🔥
I am just a flashlight enthusiast. So, I don't really work somewhere that I need one. However, I do live in a place that constantly experiences blackouts and having more lights feels like the most practical thing to collect
Looks like an awesome and rock solid torch. By day, I'm a truck driver and would be a great inspection torch. But after hours and weekends, I'm a volunteer firefighter. The shape would go perfect in my jacket, for I need it.
Fantastic light, no doubt. Nitecore never stops to impress with great innovative products. This would come in handy for my early morning delivery runs when checking building numbers.
Great light for me as I am a managing machine tech in the packaging industry. Many low light tight spots in which I have to work and paper to board registration is critical and many eye catching packaging techniques is what helps to sell products so this type of light is very needful to me .Great light and I like the video.❤
I Own this it's much more better & easy usage, way better then other EDC lights out there...small ,slim easy carry where ever u go ..Love this EDC 27... Great job Nitecore make my life & job easier....
Because of your informative and thorough explanation about your flashlights, I purchased the TUP1000, T4K 4000, and TINI 2TI. I love them all. I definitely want this one next.
I would use it at least 4 hrs during my work day, tearing down gas pumps and rebuilding PCB boards. I work in industrial electronics and for working on diesels when I get to the shop.. love everything about the light it's EDC perfection imo..
Where I work they are expanding the plant and I have to install electronic equipment in very dimly lit and sometimes cramp places in the new area. This would be a great flashlight to use, slim and lightweight to carry along with the rest of my IT gear to help with making the connections between devices.
Love the design, I just bought and got the Tiny 2 thanks to your video. My first Nitecore. And I would love to have this one when i fix things in the basement ;)
I'm an engineer and this is perfect edc. Why? Because i dont need to carry knife or tactical pen. Grab this light without scaring co workers or having stopped in security. Wp nitecore
So am I and you don't even feel it in your pocket! I also use the Olight Arkfeld as it has either a 1000 lumen turbo light and a green laser and looks way less concerning to others when you're handling it. I use the Arkfeld especially when doing meetings to use as a pointer, and equipment walk thrus where you need a light and a laser to point out areas that you want others to see exactly where you pointing to!
This is my dream EDC. Thin, bright, and solid. It looks like it will easily carry and not print too much. I am currently looking for a torch to take on a trip and this is what I believe will be the light I carry for it. It checks most of the boxes I have for this particular trip. Love the quick button setup as well!
Hello, this looks like a Great EDC carry light for my line of work! I’m a Commercial Vehicle Inspector for the California Highway Patrol. I inspect all around, up/down and under all commercial type vehicles at daytime and at nighttime. Hopefully I get a chance to try it out….Thanks for this review!!
I am a pilot by profession and also a curious traveller when I land into destinations. When at work I need to see the airplane while doing a walk around. At the moment I use the nitecore mini 900lumens. Outside work when travelling, it's good to use when in dark places and also maybe to evade a theft by pointing 3000 into the intruders eyes and run away :)
I already own three Nitecores the P10I ,the BR25 for my bike which is the best bike light I've ever tried and i have the Tip and Tini key chain lights hope i can win one of these it looks excellent and 3,000 Lumens oh baby .
I will use this new light during my night duty at my office. Check out the wiring and cables in the server room because they ALWAYS black out frequently. Also, to show off and blind my boss eyes haha
Been waiting for this review! 😁🔦👍 Got mine a few weeks ago and have been using it a great deal! Fantastic EDC flashlight! Other manufacturers will need to catch up for sure!
Very cool video the flashlight game continues to an all new high I am ordering one! Update I just got mine in the mail and I love it! It’s an amazing light! 👍👍
I'm more of a P12GT kinda guy (or MH12SE currently). I have no problem pocketing those for EDC. This design looks cool for women, or anyone wearing tight jeans/short on space. I love my Tini2 and this looks like a long version of that with bells and whistles. Tini2 packs a REAL punch though, way more than its size should be able to, it's baffling. It feeds my needs perfectly. This light IS pretty dang cool though.
Hi... I'm a collectionist of flashlights. Even though I'm a user that prefers Nitecore almost every time, I almost never pay more than 20-30 USD to a flashlight that doesn't allow external batteries to be used. And I'm not buying this one as well... Still, I really really had to stop the video several times in order to convince myself not to buy one. Man, you're one of a kind at what you're doing.... I hope the management you're under, appreciates you as much as I (we) do, and that recognition results in some solid tribute.
I have used a lot, as an ENT doctor on the ward, the TIP SE at second brightness level as a secondary lamp. I also want from NITECORE a headlamp - between the eyes for ear, nose and throat examination. This EDC27 could be better pocketable than TIP SE (too small and falls in the pocket) because of pen style. Nice upgrade USB C and the display.
Amazing EDC Light! I would definitely use it off-duty simply because the line of work that I'm in however it is plenty of wooded areas where I reside that the Nitecore EDC27 would be very very useful!
I like the form factor but I've already come across two people who melted the TIR and burned a hole in their pants because of the instant access to turbo. One of them via a review in youtube. The problem is even in lockout 2 mode, the protruding main switch can still be depressed accidentally (if you sit down for example and it catches on the side of your pants or belt) and pull it out of lockout. Then the easy access turbo will keep turning on and burn through your pants. Pretty major flaw especially for an EDC light.
Yup happened to me too! Burned 2 holes in my pocket and burned my thigh! I haven't had it unlock itself from lockout #2 though, just accidental turbo activation while in lockout #1. But it's still an awesome light and I still choose to use it as my edc light. Just need to be aware of it's issues and mitigate what you can.
