I managed to get one of these like-new/a return open box for $550 plus tax. Absolutely one of the best laptops I've ever had with these specs, plus USB 4! I updated all chipset and wifi /bt & graphic drivers out of the gate. I was lucky that the Best Buy version already had 16GB installed.
TUF A16 does look sweet with that colour, 16" is the way to go, hopefully, more laptops adapt to this new standard, even some 14" has 16:10, so as to eliminate the dilemma we currently have of 16 and 15 inches laptops, I have the M16 2022 but TUF A16 looks like it might be my 2nd machine when I get the chance
Thank you I just bought this laptop on sale with 16gb RAM so I am so glad I saw your video as I was close to getting the MSI, you literally saved me or I would not have saw that sale. It was marked down from 1500 to 900.
Thinking of getting the ASUS TUF A16 - Ryzen 7 | 16GB | 1TB | RX 7600S to replace my current Asus FX503VD-DM078T - I'm still worried about the fan noise and absolutely do not understand why the underpanel is grey... why did they choose this dual-color instead of going full black?
Excellent video, I just pulled the trigger on one of these from Amazon $1000 USD with 32 GB of ram and 2 TB SSD, after doing about four hours of research I don’t think you can go wrong with the money. Two years ago, I spent over double that on something with less performance, and by the way, don’t be a dummy like me and spill beer into your keyboard so you have to buy something new.
Hey I really liked the review. I am looking at buying this laptop soon so I appreciate it. I also live in the UK now so I can get the better version 💪🏽
does the usb 4 port support pd or is it strictly the other usb c port edit: also, hows the performance on the 100w charger, especially in heavy tasks like gaming or rendering or editing
Thank you as always man, l love your reviews. This is definitely a decent AMD advantage edition laptop, for the price what do you expect?. Unfortunately the best model of this laptop does not exist in my country, too bad. FSR 3 is coming do we will be ready for advantage edition AMD laptops, regards.
@@MOBHouseActually the Ryzen 9 model comes with Zen 4. It's in the number Ryzen 9 7940HS. The 4 in that number means it's Zen 4. Only found that out recently. Whereas the Ryzen 7 7735H means it's Zen 3 because of the number 3 being there. I'm not sure but I think I heard that the number 7735 means it's Zen 3.5 . The 5 being the .5 in the number. Great video ! Thanks bro and God bless you always !
Interesting, why are your starfield numbers that low? i got all the eye candy etc turned on and im getting like 80 to 90 fps, also im running 32gb 2x16 4800 mhz cas 34, so i dont know if such a low cas is making a dif. just wanted to let you know. oh ya, thanks for the video.
I've heard from other review video that this laptop suffer a loop sleep mode issue due to amd's smart acces graphics malfunction, do your unit happens to also had this problem or you never experience any issues ever?
Yesterday I had a drama with the Asus Tuf FA617 model: when using Photoshop it had an intermittent power-on screen, however, on a desktop that same file does NOT have any problem. TUF FA617 data • AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS Mobile Processor (8-core/16-thread, 16MB L3 cache, up to 4.7 GHz max boost) • AMD Radeon RX 7600S, up to 95W (Smart Shift), 8GB GDDR6 • 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM I will have to wait several days to send it to service, it has 8 days of use in video editing and graphic design. Did anyone have the same problem? I hope NO, it is very unpleasant to be without work for a few days.
I heard theres alot of sleep issues and turned off randomly, and theres also blinking problems on the laptop and really hot. I want to use it for animation course (and genshin lol) Im worried if i will face this issue so is there any way to face these issues?
Make sure you update your drivers. And I'd turn off sleep for when you have the laptop plugged in. It's not a this laptop problem as a general issuenwith some of these laptops.
Depends if you play more story mode games i recommend the a15 with 4060 because your gonna have better performance with ray tracing and dlss but if don’t use either get the a16 and take advantage of the bigger screen and better performance on fps games
I think the only two cons of this lap top is the, screen brightness is a little dark and the speakers are bad I had a leveno x1 9th gen and it was a really huge downgrade when it comes to speakers coming to this laptop top
Hello, can you confirm the max level of brightness is really 250 nits? Becuase I own this a16 and another laptop with 250 nits but a16 looks much brighter and I am a bit confused, because really considerong return due to this 250 nits
Your other laptop could either be aging (which causes the laptop backlight to dim overtime) or they over-listed their brightness. I'm pretty certain this screen is 250 nits yes.
Asus for sure i bought one cyborg uses 45 W as tgp wehereas asus can get upto 120W actually i can run red dead redemption 2 in ultra settings without fps drop. Only draw back is that is runs a bit hot🥲
The top grills are heat grills not speaker grills. Still new CPU name but using old architecture sounds like a bit of a mislead since the difference between Zen 3 and Zen 4 is huge. Hopefully we get a more powerful CPU next year. Or at least an Intel/Nvidia or full Intel versions too. It's one graphics I'd like to see in a laptop 😂.
I think the editor mighta made a mistake. The speakers are bottom-firing near the front. If i'm not wrong, the Ryzen 9 version is using Zen 4 architecture.
I saw another review comparing the zen 3+ model with the zen 4. And you would actually be shocked to know that the zen 3+ model edges out the zen 4 in key aspects
@@MOBHouse I'm sure you could watch movies on it to. And I got the scoop, on the 7700 Model now. It just came out. In October. That's why there's nothing on it yet. And it seems like a great deal. Though I'm not sure it's a worth it upgrade, from my two year old laptop.
Im going to return mine. Power usage is about 60-120 watts measured on the plug, I played Fortnite and battery lasted 45 mins from 100% to 10%, the 165 hz screen is amazing though but I’d rather get a desktop gaming pc.
I waiting for one new upgrade version on asus storege with 32GB memory Portátil ASUS TUF Gaming A16 Advantage Edition Windows 11 Home Processador AMD Ryzen™ 7 7435HS 3.1GHz (20MB Cache, até 4.5 GHz, 8 cores, 16 Threads) Gráficos AMD Radeon™ RX 7600S 8GB GDDR6 Ecrã IPS 16" QHD+ 16:10 (2560 x 1600) de 240Hz 32 GB memória RAM DDR5 1TB de armazenamento SSD M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 4.0 Porta LAN RJ45 de 10/100/1000 Mbps Carregamento rápido 0-50% em 30 minutos Bateria de alta capacidade 90Wh Cor Sandstorm Because my Acer Predator HELIOS 300 rtx2060 pass four years chip burn 😢😂
I have one. asus (tuf) laptops imo worst trackpad in history of laptops. the capacitive aspects are poor and the surface gets very shiny and polished. and the drivers/software are poor, not sure if it's because windows 11 or soley asus drivers but the trackpad is finicky. also it can get stuck in hibernate and have to plug in the PS to wake it up
@@MOBHouse sure if all you using it for is gaming, because you're probably using a separate mouse or controller. but i picked that one not just for gaming but other use cases, so yeah the trackpad becomes more important. i have used an hp zbook, macbooks, and went through 2 work issued elitebooks all trackpads on those worked flawlessly by comparison. if i cared soley about specs and gaming, I would have gone a step up
