It reflects their personalities (lazy/sleepy cat and active sports manager/duck) very well.

Nekomata were known for eating people and other really bad things. Not all nekomata were bad, just most of them. There are stories of good ones but not many. Okayu is a nekomata, so her mischief makes a lot of sense. Some were said to have Pyrocanissis.
It's funny that both of them want to be able to enjoy being spoiled, which means that despite how compatible their dreams are, they're entirely at cross purposes. It doesn't help that Okayu is a hard M and Subaru doesn't have many S tendencies.

@@nightowlawaken idk when exactly, but its the Competetive-casual debate. to summarizes, Okayu is the meta-gamer, all about specs, stats and such, while Subaru is the typical "Pokemon are our friends" protagonist who always believes in their pokemon.
Some irony too with how Okayu wants to pose as a big brother, but Subaru wants a big sister while Subaru wants to pose as a younger brother but Okayu wants her to be the younger sister. Both want to be the brother in their fantasy but wants the other to be the sister. 😂

The answer is right in front of their noses. Fubuki’s now a Holomom as of last week when her daughter Chichiron debuted. Subaru can’t accept FBK as an imouto but daughter has the body and dependability of an onee-san with the heart and gap moe of a loli that suits Okayu’s “passion” 🤝
Well, as an imouto person having one, yes, they are the kind of existence that will make you go to another country just to check if she is right and doing well there. Moreso if an ex-BF made her feel bad days before 😈

No, they said it in the clip as well, Subaru wants to break Fubuki out of Okayu’s imouto brainwashing. And to keep her out of harms way as a joke. Then Subaru won the race so it kinda turned into a situation where Okayu needs to concede Fubuki and find a new imouto.
In the future, you should actually translate those terms into "older sister" and "younger sister." There's no need to leave words like that untranslated considering they are translatable. Or at least leave a translator note.
I think most people watching a channel like this know what they are without needing them translated. It's not like they're doing subs for netflix or cruncyroll, right?
Honestly, I seen people prefer TLer to not translate it since there are nuances to the words onee-san and imouto that older/younger sister don't have. But also just as a personal preference, I left most of them untranslated.
Not really, vtuber watchers usually understands weeb culture. Big bro(ther) doesn't exactly convey the Onii-chan "feel", when using onii-chan you can already tell that the character in question is acting cute. Japanese words have so many layer that you can't just alwayd slap the literal translation and call it a day. Onii-san =/= Onii-chan =/= Big brother.
@@achewin That's true about them having nuances that older/younger sister don't have, but depending on the context you can simply translate them accordingly into something else besides the literal "younger/older sister." Other Japanese to English translators and subbers have been doing this for a long time and there's rarely a case in which those two words can't be subbed in English.
"Everyone's doing it you should too".NO, I for one appreciate translators more when they translate words to fit the context and also worry about nuances or to just leave it as japanese word when they can't exactly find an equal replacement.
