The dream player is Jaylin Williams with a little more internal development on his shot, finishing at the rim, and agility? 6'9-10, 230 lbs, ✅ Physical on guys like Jokic, ✅ Defensive versatility in the frontcourt? He can play alongside Chet, needs a bit more lateral quickness but it's close 🤔 Tough garbage guy making the little plays, ✅ Rebounding? ✅ (7.8 rebounds per 30 mins) Shotmaking, off-ball finisher? Eh, needs to work on the shot and his finishing at the rim but it's not far off (Career 38% from 3 on somewhat low volume, 64% at the rim) 🤔 Playmaking when needed, ✅ Fits in the locker room and culture, ✅ Availability ✅(both definitions) Young enough to fit long-term, ✅
Mine is KD. I keep seeing pictures and videos of Chet and KD hanging out. I love Chet and his mentality and his passion for team above all else. If Chet wants to welcome KD in to the fold, I'm all in. And I HATED KD for leaving.
They have a 6’9 220lb guy on the bench who has potential to be excellent offensively.. he’s smaller framed but he’s already bulked up 30 pounds. Ousmane Dieng
@brandonbeglin2379 my only issue is if the thunder did make a promise to Holmes and Cody Willams falls to #12 what does the thunder do? If okc could get Jabari Smith in a trade I would be good with that. But back on Holmes if okc drafts him and he hits the weight room with Dort and J-Dub I think he could be a starter day 1 but the needs to have a transformation like J-Dub did last offseason season.
My dream is Bridges + DFS. But Kevin's thing would move mountains, it would be one of the best narratives in the league... and I think that if Presti wants it's done. The Suns are not going to win in the next 2 years with this core, and I don't think you're going to get a better offer (even if it's to move him to a third team and surround Book)
I think it's going to be kinda of boring moves. Jalen Smith Paul Reed type moves maybe okc over pays Harris on a 1 or 2 year deal. Then trade the #12 to the heat for the #14 and the heats 2nd round pick and Draft Holmes at #14 and with the 2nd draft Ajay Mitchell. The real question is what to do with Giddy and what kind of asset can okc get for him.
KD all day: forget fitting the culture- he don’t fit anyone’s culture. The playa is a baller - loves BB … Seal his legacy & get this team a RING…not 10 yrs from now.
Two words.. “Deni Avdija”. He’s the perfect mold of a player that you guys described. He’s 6’9, 215-220lbs, can shoot and play make (with chips help he’ll be a lethal weapon), plays great defense (his calling card), is only 23 and is very durable (averages about 70-74 games per year), and is good for this young selfless culture that the thunder have built. He’s literally perfect
Deni kind of Scares me a little. I think his 3 point shooting this season was a fluke. The reason I say that is it was by far his best % he career 3 point shooting is basically Josh Giddys % I get player can develop over time and maybe that's the case but Deni Avdija is a great free throw shooter which usually is a good way to determine if a young player could develop a higher 3 point shooting %. But with all that said with Deni's defense I would definitely take him at the right price something like Giddy and either the 76er 2025 1st or okc 2025 1st.
My pipe dream would be Jabari Smith Jr. His age would fit nicely although he'd be due for an extension at the same time as JDub and Chet. Get him in the gym to work on his shooting with Chip and he would be a great add that doesn't clog the lane for Shai and Dub. He also could guard every position. A more realistic option for me though would be Jonathan Isaac, we would just have to hope that his injury woes improve. If he were to stay healthy this team would be scary defensively. Throw him into the starting lineup with Shai, Dub, Dort and Chet while having Giddey run the bench unit.
I love it. Plus Jabari desperately wanted to come to OKC during the PreDraft. J.Isaac wouldn't cost much. Hou can't sign all 6 of their young stars. They might do a Wiggs, Zay & Dieng for cost control.
Deni Avdija and Jonathan Isaac has been my thought already for a two players to bring in. Send Giddey to Washington, and Tyus Jones goes to Orlando. Curious what that would cost OKC, #12 and the Philly/Miami 2025 1st's?
Jonathan Isaac would be niceee but his injury is a bit concerning I'm curious with how many picks do we give to get him because I'm hoping its not a lot
Before listening, mine is Lauri and Deni (+ maybe a center from the draft / Hartenstien as a FA). They need more offence, more size, more spacing, more rebounding - That's Lauri at the 4 and Deni at the 3.
Thats a dream scenario of mine as well, although the Hartenstien part I'm not sure if Im willing to give a LOT of money for a backup center Now granted Hartenstien is solid but I have to believe he's looking for a big paycheck and that's also the same with Nic Claxton since I'm sure Chet is the starting 5 even if many people want chet at the 4 that's why it's either Lauri or Deni that could be our option since those 2 can play the 4 and have the size to help Chet but me personally I might lean more into getting Deni since he could be that Aaron Gordon type of player for this thunder squad and he's still pretty young but does a lot of the dirty works like rebounding and defending. But if we get Lauri I wouldn't be mad either
Thea dream should be to play with trade some of your future draft picks for a true star because you won't even be able to sign first round picks here soon anyway because you have too many. Can't have like 10 firsts over the next 3 years and sign em all without getting rid of some of the players you already feel are cornerstone pieces
