I lost my brother in 2017 and discovered this song during that dark time. It help me cope and comfort me in my grief. It still gets me when I listen to it now. Will and okkerville river have a special place in my soul!!!

I lost a dear friend shortly after this music video was release. We shared a mutual love for okkervil river and both loved this video. I saw them them live about a month after she passed and they opened with this song. I just started bawling as quietly as i could. it was such an emotionally powerful moment. Extremely bitter sweet. It was the most cathartic moment in my life. This song means an awful lot to me

Still my favorite band. But, the tragic thing is, this really was the last song by them I felt a connection to. They died for me after this. They've written some of the best music I've ever heard, I hope they can reconnect to it. RIP if not. Thank you for everything you gave me regardless.

This song reminds me so much of another one, but I can't seem to remember what it's called, and it's driving me a bit nuts. I hear it especially in the lines that end with "now". I want to say the song I'm thinking of is a little psychedelic? but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated lol and great song obviously
