The Overlord of Akuapem Traditional Area, His Royal Majesty Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, the Okuapehene, has responded to the Chieftaincy clash in Atweasin by convening an emergency meeting with all the Divisional Chiefs in Akuapem.
During this meeting, both factions involved in the chieftaincy clash were summoned before the Okuapehene. The Abusuapanyin and his associates were fined as a form of punishment for their misconduct. The penalty included a monetary fine of GH100,000, 24 cottons of schnapps, and 24 sheep. Additionally, the enstoolments carried out by the faction were declared null and void.
