This time, we went to Yamanami Inn in Okuaso, Ubuyama Village, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture.
A river flows through a lush area... My husband and I were able to spend a wonderful time together.
First, we were welcomed by the friendly innkeepers, who showed us to a wonderful room and a wonderful hot spring.
The interior of the inn has a nostalgic, emotional atmosphere that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
The baths, which the previous owner built himself, are all full of charm and elegance, and are very exciting.
There is a hearth in the courtyard, and the sight of smoke rising from the iron kettle was also impressive.
After the hot spring, we had lunch at the nearby restaurant Sansuitei.
It is such a popular restaurant that there is a line before it opens.
We were impressed by the deliciousness of the water from the Ikeyama spring, which is one of the 100 best water sources in Japan.
