Powerhouse performer, writer, and choreographer Okwui Okpokwasili and director Peter Born offer an inside look at the making of their new dance-theater work. They share the personal and political histories and collaborative processes that led to a new speculative mythology in adaku, part 1: the road opens.

Commissioned by BAM for the 2023 Next Wave and the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston.
