Artist Olafur Eliasson, the 2014 McDermott Award Winner, visits MIT’s campus and expounds on the characteristics that make MIT an eminently suitable place for collaboration on his project Little Sun. Described as “a work of art that works in life,” Little Sun is a high-quality solar powered LED lamp developed by Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen, to provide light to people in off-grid areas. Participants at Hacking Arts who worked on Little Sun are featured. Learn more at artsm.it/1tIuGWv
