Love how Riley is truly a Young Man. Playing with his brothers like a boy. But when Dad say’s he needs help, turns and zips up his jacket. And is ready for work. His work skills and abilities are well beyond his years. Well done. Keep safe and well all.
I pray the Lord blesses your family with some new truck's , and what ever needed to keep your cattle alive and well .bless all your children and you and your sweet wife.
Glad I found Y’all. I’m about 15 years older an I remember when most ranchers had stock racks for their pickups and a 2-ton cattle truck before everyone went to having trailers.
We had a cattle rack for our pickup in the 60's. It could be taken of when not needed. It fit in the square holes that used to be in the side of the truck. I don't remember seeing people pulling cattle trailers. We had a couple of cattle buyers that used large trucks but had cattle racks on them. You could build them yourself or there were people that specialized in building them. We built our own.
Maybe get the batteries tested they need a full charge to load test them, also if you have not checked the fuel filter you are in a pretty dusty area. I hope you and Family all have a great Thanksgiving. Stay safe and healthy.
Hi Guys, I worked for a Refrigeration Co. in Western Australia that serviced Carrier & ThermoKing Trucks & Reefers. The batteries were changed at regular service intervals despite there condition lots of good ones gone to the scrappy. Maybe there's such a place or a large transport Co. in St George or then again Diesel Dave. Keep up the great content.
Made me remember something from my past about me, 3 friends and a semi we crossed paths with on a dirt road northwest of Groom Lake. Not a story to tell here but I smile every time I think about it.
Just how far off did that fella see ya'll coming to sell you a ranch in the driest state in the union. Seriously, I love your videos, Mama and the kids are great.
My old Skid Steer can barely lift a pallet of those protein tubs, so I have to call in some of my "hefty buddies" when we unload. HA you know where they helped from.
Ha it was windy this morning so I didn’t film but should have when my little boy about stood our little skid steer on its nose unloading the truck. He finally figured it out and barely got those pallets off😂
Real life Farming, in harsh environment, that dust would get to me. Compared to some You Tube channels where they click a finger and they buy new this and new that, but you probably have to balance out how and when you can spend. Hope you can boost the channel to gain some revenue to put back into the machinery and things. Take care be safe 😊
I'm sure you've already thought of it, but when were the batteries and alternator checked? Love the kids and there bare feet, when was I was growing up in provo and orem I didn't know what shoes were.
Love your Videos. with all the other helpful information and hope I am not repeating. Grounding.. check all of the attachment points to the frame, body, and motor. I am used to a negative car grounding system. If any of those "grounding attachment points" is rusted, corroded, and or broken? Can send all the power you want to the starter but if the return path is weak? I pray this helps and have a blessed thanksgiving.
Re: no start. Maybe needs a new battery? Amps could be too low. If it starts when being pulled, means the alternator current is being used instead of batteries
Check the thermals on the battery's if one is loose that too can stop it from starting start with the basics checks an go from there had that happen with me an my 379 Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family 👪
Hi there, what do you pay for those protein blocks? Not many years ago I could buy a 200ltr / 50gal US .drum of molasses from local sugar mill for $60.00Aus . Now days its over $200.00, for same quantity but they won't fill drums/barrels, bulk only. The drought has broken here after 2 1/2 years I hope 2022 is a better outcome for you guys.
Battery is low. Maybe the Alternator belt is loose or your alternator is bad. All the Molasses blocks and protein blocks I've put out, I'm sure glad they only weighed about 30 lbs a piece. Although it would have been handy to have them big tubs. Is there a deposit for the tubs? Seems there would be!
Man you can save yourself a lot of time and trouble if you go to any parts store or farm store or Walmart even and grab some trickle chargers for the batteries. 4 or 6 amp small chargers and just leave them plugged in. They cost 20 or 30 bucks each and they turn on and off automatically. A lot of people don t know that a dead battery will freeze in the winter. Once it freezes it s ruined. Also these alternators they build today have very few windings in them and are not made to charge batteries from dead. They are made for good batteries so when you pull a little charge off when starting they build the battery back up quickly then put out enough to run the electrical. Charging dead batteries will burn them up !!! When you replace batteries on your two battery pickups you need to replace them both at the same time or you will burn up your alternator because it will run constantly trying to get the older battery up with the new battery. If one battery is still pretty good in the pickup replace it anyway and use the one coming out in a single battery tractor or backhoe. This will save you having to buy a lot of altenators.
On my rig not all the auxillaries shut off with the key. If they're on all night they drain the battery. Sorry if that seems obvious. I learned the hard way.
@@anchorbrandranch My neighbor put a battery cut-off switch under the drivers seat and all I have to do reach down and turn it. Quick and simple - if you know how.
Maybe look into fuel filter its sounding like fuel starvation, batteries probably not helping. Potentially clean filter and some injector cleaner (Hotshot Secret)
Hmm didn’t know about that. I have used some music that makes it so RU-vid won’t pay for the videos do lately I have just stuck to the free junk music on the editing app that I use on my iPhone it’s dorky music but it doesn’t get me cancelled for copyright violations
I decided it’s the alternator on that truck but yessir I do need a truck load of batteries for some of the other junk around here. Thanks for watching and all the great advice!
