My problem with this level is that there's a bug where the enemy murmillo can literally glitch through your own walls, even if they're perfectly secure. It's a glitch that seems to primarily be present on the extended edition of the game. It pretty much ruins the entire level and makes it impossible. This level isn't just cheap, it's broken. Edit: I managed to finally beat the level, despite the glitching murmillo. I just made some strongholds and trained chariots. Still, I hate this level to death. lol.
I started to play this game when I was 10 years old... Now, 9 years later, im getting back! Your videos are great man! Seriously, I remember I was stuck on this mission at that difficulty level xD thanks!
Trust me my friend and while im up at 3am i will say this. This mission is definitely not impossible on EE because ive done it on a test run :D It may take a while though unfortuantely i gotta catch up with the doom 3 walkthrough first
SergiuHellDragoonHQ There is a trick to every level, i know it might be a little frustrating for know but i have worked on a better strategy, i think ill pm it too you and you can give it a try, (this level was one of the more difficult ones)
Thanks to you I finally beat this level and I tried at least 30 times before that. I'd usually just send at least one hero on all three entrances and slingers and other units from barracks on the left side but they'd easily get beaten. Never thought about using elephants. Anyway thanks again, this level was so frustrating.XD
I swear my titan difficulty for this stage is way more difficult than what is shown here, and I think some other ppl have mentioned this too. Titans expansion had some crazily hard maps.
You are 100% not wrong. I've tried normal and extended edition and things keep changing left right and centre even if i do everything exactly the same. Keep in mind this is now also nearly 7 years old. I was going to be doing a full updated level by level guide around June/July when Nvidia was likely to release new GPUS but thats not going to be until September now (at least with the current situation). I did do a stream walkthrough which is the latest videos on my channel there so you can check those out too if you want.
Thank you so much, i love this game and have beaten the game on hard difficulty, am trying on titan and i tried hard to multi task but what helped me from this video was to get the son of osiris and everyone to that one entry way to the right of the guardian, wall up the bottom but keep the middle open so the enemy is forced to try and get through that way, just wall up but don't completely close off the middle, put three watch towers on the left side of the entry way in the middle and build a stronghold on the right side of the entry way, train some charriots and keep your heroe's there, train some priests and ur all set until you upgrade enough to re take the guardian. Honestly the only challenging thing was trying to multi task when the early on coming waves keep coming, but moving everyone to the middle entry way made thing's soooooo much easier, from there on it was easy.
Wow this mission is tough. The armies are so persistent you can't heal or build fast enough. The AI also swaps which walls they go to. I managed to build 8 towers and 2 forts at the side entrance only to have the top entrance totally mowed down by a 50 unit army. By the time I wiped them out the side entrance was bulldozed by 50 murmillo and myth units gallore. The AI also loves to drop guys out of the eagle right at the town center. I would love to see an EE tutorial on how to beat this because I am f***
Very gd work bro , it has very helpful to me , and i just love this game, thanks a lot great work brother, i have finished all the campaign levels of old atlantis by watching your tutorial and now i am focusing on the new Atlantic city, mine is extended edition but it doesn't cause problems to me
I played on the extended edition and the pharaoh never came, but I was still able to win by keeping the SoO on the statue, built three migdols around the statue and walled up, however that took insane amount of multi-tasking, just enemy raids almost non-stop on both SoO and the trade route
In the upcoming stream walkthrough this level annoys me, because sometimes it's hard sometimes its not. And i never leave SoO at statue when i do this it just isn't worth it for those who want to take it easy.
@@MajorFoley The strategy you took of concentrating the enemy on the trade route and using the SoO to upgrade first is really smart, I didn't think of that. Looking at your play through I don't even know how I finished the level, I didn't even find all the camels haha
@@miguelpereira9859 Im debating whether its worth getting all of them in the first place. Your on very limited time at the start to get that defence up and running
@@MajorFoley I think getting to the ones on the left side of the map may be worth it but the ones more to the center probably aren't because you will be harassed by enemies.
It became disgustingly easy when funneling all the enemies there. I'v tried funneling them through the main base but to no avail. Mostly because I wanted to keep SoO channeling. Thanks for the tip!
To past this level I just let them kill all my base and green’s base and I focus on the guardian .they cannot throw their troops on ur guardian after that idk why just some UM from the hell
Hey @Majorfoley1 can you send me or post the instructions for this mission on EE, Even with careful funneling, multiple towers and strongholds, doing some micro, I'm still getting overrun by soo many murmillo, myth units and archers. Curious how you overcame the hordes. Also thanks for all your vids on some of those tough norse campaigns.
have a big problem, my Camels are bugged they are not getting any kind of gold, plus the enemy is hitting me very Hard, huge waves of Murmillos, Archers and myth Units! One time I survived for 25 Minutes but my resources finished and I lost!
In EE along with this attack. Waves of 10+ murmillo attack every 20 seconds. I won this level on hard using this strategy. I won this on titan as well just once because I triggered a bug which didn't send murmillo army.
Even on EE this is bugged. People i talk to have no idea why in this campaign the AI just changes tactics whenever it feels like it. It makes redoing this guide when i get my components back extremely hard because its not going to play out the same way each time on certain levels. Cerberus is a big one of those.
you can easyly kill Cerberus without the guardian. Using same early strat, mass priests with 10-12 elephants in front and attack the right part of the base. The anti- mith unit damage claps the titan pretty quickly.
Don't like this level period, shows when i stream it lol. You don't exactly get the resources to do so when under constant attack. I know you don't need the guardian to kill it but i also don't do speedrun strategies. It's alright for someone else to do them but i don't always like doing it. Saw someone do it though and was pretty impressive
Deleting a building select it and click delete. Making a set of instructions select a villager click a building and then Shift + left click to do it. Same with moving orders etc, Click a unit and shift click multiple areas to set waypoints.
Hmmm, honestly i think you can wall off either pass but you need to have one pass covered, you need to protect the caravans you get and the Son of Osiris NEEDS to be used against the attacks but also defended. Every other hero unit should be at the front because they can tank and be revived. Getting priests isn't a bad idea since the enemy attacks with some myth units and heal your units but you should counter with what they send, you should start with axemen because of the murmillo. When you can afford to War Elephants are the best to train as they are tanky if your Son of Osiris and deal alot of damage. If you don't wanna save for the forts, get regular towers, they make a huge difference especially against human soldiers. And you should keep some priests in the base against the Rocs as they will drop some units 1 time. After you have the resources to keep up a constant army, wall off that passage and defend the son of Osiris as he charges. Thats all i can say for now until i work on it again. Which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.
Just defend that trade route till the two walls are complete and you have trained an army after that just go and awake the Guardian. You should have make all those fortress and watchtowers near guardian because the real fight is there
I don't like closing off the entire trade route because they end up attacking the walls and i tend to be ill prepared for it but that's just me (I also hate defending 2 locations). I like to wall off the bottom pass completely but leave a small gap in the top one funnelling the enemies in. Lets the son of Osiris' chain attack go to work. 7 Years since i done this video. End of year can't come soon enough so i can update these.
@@mrsplashflash-gamingkanal3569 Honestly i think in the Extended edition this ones easier but it doesn't seem consistent. I usually see enemies trying to build Sky passages yet in the extended edition it comes and goes and it annoys me. And if we are talking about the golden gift, i don't think i ever played it with the original but the one included with the extended edition is a bloody pain (far as im concerned its bloody bugged), first 2 levels easy, last 2 levels are hard.
FYI, Cerberus was NEVER a Titan. He was a monster son of Typhon and Echidna, the first two monsters, who were themselves children of Primordials, Tartarus and Gaia. Don't know why they gave him an anthro body. They could've just made him a Myth unit.
Yes but your base gets destroyed and i consider it a speedrun strategy that i don't care to do. Go to speedrun.com and go to the age of mythology page you'll likely find it there.
@@stephen_unc Pretty much you need to hold the line until you can get enough gold. And even then your limited to the camels you have unless you get the technology ballistic towers (which for some reason is locking the ability to train camels.)
Nice strategy. It's pretty much impossible to stay with the son of osiris and the statue and trying to play it that way. I've been trying alot of different strategies, but moving him away like this does seem like only way. I didn't even know/think you could bring him away for that long. Seems semi-exploitative, but hey anything goes.
This really isn't that impossible when you think about it. The titan doesn't attack until the guardian reaches a certain HP threshold, you could easily amass a priest army if you survive long enough to take down the Titan fairly quickly.
@@MajorFoley didnt say its impossible. I just like to kill the titan without touching the guardian. Hardmode objectives for each scenario 2. Build and defend second TC on mainland by 10 mins 3. Destroy sky passage immediately I'm making a full list on forums
@@Glaciatio What i have found since i played this level several times on EE now since the release of Tale of the dragon, they never build the damn sky passage close to my base anymore. I really have no idea why they don't. Pretty sure i don't see any citizens come to my base to do so either.
+Phuc Man Pham You don't start in the 4th age and you definitely don't have enough gold to start aging and building up a stronghold at the same time either. They strike real fast too with more units each wave by the time you get a stronghold up a lot of your units will probably be dead even with the Son of Osiris helping. I might give it a shot offline and hell if it works I might do it and give ya credit for the idea :) but the last time I did this which was a few days ago on live stream I walled off the temple section of the wall and held my allies sides of the opening.
kenzo2980 Well I tried to download this game from internet but it was only a demo plus I had problems like bugs and other stuff that brought me to delete it.. There is an easier way... just "buy it" :p
