कितनी लगन से इस काम को किया है। इसकी जितनी भी प्रशंसा की जाए वह कम है। How dedicated he is, in his work.I appreciate the efforts made by video uploader.
I love to see smart people restoring objects that were already doomed. you are a restoration wizard. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us. Congratulations continue to restore doomed objects and recycle the impossible!
By any chance is this bike a Raleigh Humber as the Humber in the much early years had a removable rear . I've got 2 Humber's one from 1961 and one from 1949 unrestored and still usable
Very cool! Lever and arm-brakes! And on only the front wheel… There are hills here in Oslo where you do NOT want to go down with so little brakes… But nice job, well done! :D
It was perfectly ok until someone painted mud all over it! Why didn't you remove the rust on the pedal/cog with a wire brush attachment on the grinder.Instead of spray painting over it.The rust will just eat through the paint.
I have also a bsa.Slr..bycle I bought it in my 10th standard..it's a good memory..and I didn't sold it.because I have something affection with.it..really it's complete almost 18 years ...I planning to restore it again it's 20th year or as early as possible.
my brother you could have cleaned most, if not all, of that hardware...still turned out very nice though. it's nice when new parts come though, isn't it?
@@Seregium Luckily,I've seen a little more of it in Singapore. Some of the elderly there still ride their 50+ year old Flying Pigeon bicycles! And those are the bike's which I've spotted those brakes on.
When tapping races and crank arms back on shouldn't you be using a rubber Mallet or maybe even a wooden one to prevent it from denting or chipping the finish on your Chrome. I'm an avid cyclist and taking many bikes apart even older ones and have never used a metal Hammer to remove metal component that hold the race for the handlebars the bottom bracket or even crank sets I think you need to revise your tutorial to show this or explain that.
Amazing skills. But what's behind all these restoration videos ? Do the restored bikes generate income or what ? By the time all the labour and parts are accounted for, does the finished bicycle compete with bikes bought new ?
It's like restoring a classic car and putting back the original tires and tubes. I think I would of put new ones on. Why upgrade the handlebars and cheap out on the tires. Even though it had treads/nubs it could be cracked or dry rotted
Looks good. People do not know it's better and easier to replace bike parts than to try to restore them. I have restored several Schwinn bikes. I had more in chrome than the bike was worth. Looked nice, but it would have been less money if I had just replaced the rims, sprockets, the bearing with the bearing cups and the fenders.
As a youth I had a 1964-vintage 26"-rim Göricke bike (made in Brazil to German specs) with exactly the same brake arrangement (seems to me that not everybody likes Palmer cables). Stolen in Paquetá Island (bike-traffic only), Guanabara Bay, 1970 :'-( .
Excellent REstoration of bike. You work on your own and passionately. Well done. Liked your hard work. Also noticed after 25 minite of this video you also have one Mtorbike on side of the wall. Like to see you work on it or similar.
Que buena tener esa disponibilidad de repuestos nuevos, esa calidad de frenos a varillas, en Argentina no se consiguen, hay que restaurar todo... saludos
My friend: RESTORING does not only mean exchanging old pieces for new ones, above all it means GIVING NEW LIFE TO OLD PARTS. Next time: Either you stop removing old parts or you remove the word "Restoration". You could have used all the old parts you threw away!
Where do you get the replacement parts? My stepson has a similar Raleigh to restore - it's not that bad off, but it may require some new parts. I admire you for taking this job on - but then, that's what you do, eh?
