Here's a demo of the crazy Dark Star Pad Reverb by Old Blood Noise Endeavors. No talking, just sounds!
This pedal can get very crazy and spooky, but I tried to keep it as ambient as possible without making a horror movie soundtrack ;)

I sure will experiment! For my demos, I always only use the pedal shown on screen, so people can know what they can get from this pedal alone!

@@trackerbuckmann1627 i do not know which to go with. This one, the slo or the afterneath. What do you think would be the best as a stand alone pedal? Also what is the point of having 2 of them? (Just curious)

@@alienboy2783 the dark star is no mere reverb. If you like very ambient sounds, it works great to stack this with the afterneath and use a volume pedal to create long drones for a deep, 'wall of sound.' If you just want to choose one, for sure go with the afterneath. I use it for everything. You can turn down the mix and use it with a good fuzz pedal to create leads. The dark star just adds an extra dimension to that background which is hauntingly beautiful. Not completely necessary, but a very nice touch.

@@trackerbuckmann1627 ok tha ks for the advice. Now i am leaning towards the afterneath and the rever. Along with the dark star. I love the dark and haunting sounds it brings and it will fit my playing style so well. I am very excited. Now I must choose between rever and afterneath. I do want that reverse reverb...these are some tough ass decisions. It doesnt help that i am very indecisive. Ahh!

@@alienboy2783 The afterneath pedal is very satisfying. I have to say, i enjoy listening to my own music a lot more using these effects in the background. The sustainiac pickup and volume pedal help quite a lot.

Sound 7 uses the chord progression that was used in 80's early 90s fantasy hero movies it certainly struck a chord when I heard this video a couple years back , movie soundtrack producer Randy Edelman used that powerful progression at the end of ghostbusters 2 1989 and also near end of 90s drop dead fred, there's other movies but can't think top of my head but loved it as a kid when used .

I personally think the OBNE Dark Star is more musical sounding. It just sounds better to my ears. The Slo was the pedal that got me into crazy extraordinary reverbs, and it was on my wishlist for so long but im just being honest, I really didn't gravitate to the sound of it I only liked that space sounding vibe. I didn't like the trails, or the modes I just thought it was a cool idea. like who doesnt want a crazy reverb pedal on their board? BUT THEN you hear about the dark star, and that has been on the block for quite some time (so you would think walrus got inspiration from this pedal). Regardless ive watched so many demos on the dark star and to my ears it is so pretty. its not there just to fill space. Its more musically sounding, definitely has cooler modes, and its from a smaller pedal company so I assume there was more effort put into it.

Abraham Kinard hah so we just have different tastes - I’m gonna play with it a bit more but after spending like 2 hrs with it - I’m just not loving it - even though I really wanted to - I feel like the sounds are too out there for me - especially the crush mode - probably end up returning it - but on a brighter note I got the old blood noise black fountain and MIND Blown it’s so goooood !

Adonis Dubois I think the rever has been improved upon with the result being the Minim.

Rick Lewis I wouldn’t call it an improvement, just a change. The reverse and modulation are pretty different

Mine was noisy when I got it out of the box, but you can adjust a trimpot inside the pedal that makes the level-to-noise ratio much better! I had no problem with mine after doing that.
