This was the first foam core building I made, and the 3rd overall. Thank you SO MUCH for making these templates free. It really helps for beginners like me dabble with this stuff.
Thanks for your videos! I had the "Superglue melting my foamboard"-issue. Then I tried gel-superglue and it worked just fine. To speed up the drying process of PVA you could also drop small amounts of superglue right into the applied PVA before putting the parts together. Works really nice ;)
Thanks! Super glue is strange, I have a gel version that does melt foam, but you can also buy foam-safe superglues now too. I now use PVA glue for this stuff and pin it in place with sewing needles while it dries. PVA glue has a bit more flex which I like and tends to last longer with lots of use and abuse. Good tip with the superglue, thank you!
Yes certainly too big. I can't remember if I address it in the video but that decision was made to save time. On my houses I make now they're much closer to scale. You can check out my house template on my itch.io in the description if you want something more to scale. It's $5 tho. But I talk about scale a lot there. Hope that helps :)
Wow, all of his buildings are awesome, but they lokk corrupted, wich is good for future game boards, but not so good for fantasy gameplay. I think you should add more moss and do 2 coats of dry brush for fantasy, or make your primer gray, it helps a lot with the colour. Awesome and helpful, auto-subscribe))

I'm not really sure, I started making templates because it was easier than listing dimensions in videos. If you search for 'papercraft terrain' you might find some stuff that can be adapted for thicker materials like foamcore and corrugated cardboard
My local lincraft, spotlight and Kmart (in the craft section with the cardboard) all stock it. Kmart has been the cheapest by far. I've also bought it online cheaply also.
I use 4 different brands of 5mm foamboard, all acquired locally. I haven't found that much of a difference between them. Buy the cheapest and see how it goes :)
