He was given an opportunity and I'm not backing Justin. But he still has the potential to make things right and keep making music. Justin just needs to dig himself out of his grave.
Yeah it is a shame he threw it all away just to smoke crack he should have continued going he did such a good job on the song when it first came out and 3 years later he threw it all away to go smoke crack and some guy in New York
Upchurch has captured the soul of so many of us, young AND old (I am 58). My back country childhood was traded many years ago for city life and a big house in an exclusive neighborhood. All for what?! Want to get back to my roots but 'the man' owns a big part of me now and escaping is not as easy as it was getting here. Keep it rolling Ryan, you are helping me to get back to where I came from. Thank you!
Shout out to Ryan Upchurch, I started playing this song and my disabled 4 year old son came running g out to the living room and looked at the TV. He was smiling and started dancing. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for what you do.
I have seen this video a hundred times and just now realized this was Cracky tooth Featuring Upchurch. This whole time I thought this was Upchurch featuring Cracky tooth. Amazing what you can learn from the Crack Tooth chronicles.
I’m 12 and I love this song a lot, I wish I would have got to experience the old days instead of a generation where you throw a punch it’s a week suspension or jail time
Another one of my favorite jams that soothes my troubled soul!!!!! Cannot wait to see ya in finally in March 💋💋💋big love for all the skins that hold respect for oneself ❤🔑🔒
25 years old and cant believe where the world has ended up with kids being raised up to be pussies and being taught to only worry about themselves, I was raised to stand up for what is right and if you see someone in hard times, help them out!
roger brigan there ain’t many of us that are in school anymore than stand up. I’ve been raised to stand my ground even if my ass gets whooped. I never go down without a fight this generation is all types of fucked.
I'm 60+......I always talk about those "good ole days"...when everything was closed on Sundays except for church and family functions, Mom & Pop stores everywhere for everything, when you were actually taught morals and ethics in school and even more at home, and people respected each other for what and who they were, and if you didn't your parents would straighten your attitude out(if ya know what I mean), for me that would be the late 50's, 60's.....they weren't perfect, but I'd gladly take it over what see today ! I lived it, don't believe those liberal/left that try to tell and brainwash people that life wasn't like that, that somehow it's better today. LOL !!
I still live my life the way it should be the 97 Chevy, living kinda the upchurch life as a kid I spray painted my name on this bridge and I go Visit a lot and sit and think
I'm 14 I wish I did live in the old days but instead im stuck with the generation that thinks standing up for ur self is walking away while someone is hitting u
I feel bad for the kids growing up now. I am 29 and am thankful to grow up before the internet. Back then it was just you and your buddies having a good time and living in the moment without worrying about facebook or instagram or whatever bullshit that has kids sucked to their phones. That and you could make dry ice bombs and shoot bottle rockets without ending up on a terrorist list. You have to keep you head up though, the propaganda system that is dragging this country into a PC shithole is counting on everyone thinking its the right thing to do and is the social norm. By resisting and not giving a shit you give others hope to follow you and that is what we need more than anything.
I can't believe Justin threw this all away, hes got an awesome voice and you can clearly see he has a talent for this. All of it thrown out the window for clout, to spread hate on a man who tried getting him on his feet. I pray he gets it back together cause the potential is there, the talent is there. I love this song, have since the first time I heard it. It will remain a favorite to me regardless of what has gone down between them
partner I have never liked any country rap I was raised in east Kentucky deep in the woods but this is one of the most honest song I've ever heard you keep coming from that heart of yours and I'll keep listenin brother
Jessie James I'm with you on the rap but I think this ol boy is country as cornbread, from the hollers in rowan county ky,check out Tyler Childers if you haven't already, Mark Mabry
The old days of real true southern boys is back right here with Church. So glad to have good and true hearted music back!! Thanks for it all Church, keep it going bubba!!
You youngsters don't know the real old days. I just passed 50 here and can totally relate to the old days. The best of the old days for me were the early 80's when raising fists meant 2 guys throwing down and when one or the other, either gave up, or one got beat down to the point he couldn't fight back, it ended, rarely a gun a knife or anything else was in the mix and rarely would there be a situation where others would team up against a single person. A fair fight if you will. If a cop managed to get involved, they would use discretion and allow them to walk away from it so long as the two agreed to not press charges on each other. Guys involved would agree to drop it and go their separate ways, to either lick their wounds, or brag to their friends, depending on which end of the fight they ended up on.
I'm 60+.....the good ole' days for me were back in the late 50's & 60's....I keep tellin' people please find me a time machine, I'd go back in a heartbeat and live out the remainder of my days.......
WeChallenge I'm missing out on those days. I'm 14. While people were having the time of their lives back then, I had to wear a helmet when I rode a bicycle. God, I wish people would stop being so overprotective and politically correct because what they're doing is creating a whole generation of screaming little babies. Just look at the millennials for an example.
I'm not even from the South, yet I still embrace the South. American heritage and culture is here. I'm from CA, a 199- born and believe the old days were prosperous. Hang in there ya'll. Much love to my brothers and sisters of real America.
And my papa is still able to whoop a mans ass even though he is 83 and has been in the KKK which you can’t blame him he just grew up in those times so he thinks that being racist is good but that doesn’t matter and he still took really good care of his family
The old days aren't gone, they live in the hearts and minds of good people. The old days are now if you live a good life and surround yourself with great people. I was born in 83 but my best days are now and still infront of me.
I sure do miss those days. I still tell my kids that they best not start no shit but they better not take no shit either. This song is so true. Nothing like the old days.
I told my son the same thing..and boy have i got to know the principal over it ... we don't see eye to eye now lol ....dont start shit but don't take any either
That's what I've always taught my kids. The youngest got kicked off the bus in kindergarten for fighting back to a bully the 2nd week of school...he stood for himself. I patted him on the back, told him I loved him, and to never back down, and I had his back for standing up for himself.
After learning the whole story,, just remember you got to work if you really want it,, this crack head just didn’t have what it took to be great!! But it’s never too late to turn your life around!! Come on Justin write something and then go sing it!! Upchurch gave you every chance, you have no one to blame but yourself!
Made it home by 9 or dads temper would blaze !! Straight pipes on the 5.7 made us feel badass !! Lol two parts of the song I lived in the school days #upchurch !
I had to come back and comment again. This is a powerful song. That's why I jammed it so loud.Something powerful is working and has been working in Ryan Upchurch's life and it comes through his music. This songs sends chills throughout the body.
Man I love up up up up up Church he's really singing from his heart and this song in the old days reminds me of when my parents were alive I have been through a lot of tragedy and trauma in My Life the song really touches me I love Ryan Upchurch ❤❤

How many times have you listened to this song, I've listened to this song atleast 100 times in the past year, wish I could like everytime I listened to it
Justin adams should get on a show like america's got talent he has a really good voice. Can't change the past but you can learn from it and move on and do you're best for now on out.
This is the song that introduced me to Upchurch’s music. I didn’t even realize that until I was just going through my Facebook memories this morning waiting to start work, and I saw the shoutout to Church on my page saying this same thing. Much love big dawg 💪🏻 To anybody reading this… you are enough, and always have been. Your are the beauty that shapes the world. You are loved more than you know, and by people you don’t even know of yet. You are stronger than you think, so keep your head up. Your life is valuable, never measure your self worth by what you think somebody else thinks of you. You have so much ahead of you on this journey every day is a new step to take. You are not a mistake, you are special. You are important, this world needs you. God loves you regardless of your past, and in case nobody has told you today, I LOVE YOU.

I'm only 10 but my man Church makes me want to make a time traveler and go back to the old days and just live the hell out of it, which my dad was just like Church so I can talk to him and he can tell me what the old days were like.
I'm at the pool at my apartment complex and I'm playing some upchurch and there was a group of people who asked me to not play my music because it was offensive. I said welcome to Tennessee I play what I feel
UPCHURCH YOU ARE TRULY THE REALIST PERSON I KNOW.... YOU TOOK UP FOR EVERYONE AT THE CONCERT THAT WAS TELLING PEOPLE TO LEAVE AFTER EVERYONE ALREADY PAID
I remember when it was ok to fly the colors, not take shit from anybody, stand up for yourself, when country girls were real country girls (not the I'm country because i wear plaid and wear daisy dukes) and when country was country not this bs it is now. I miss the old days when you got into a fight and shook hands when you were done. I'm 26 years old and that time seems so long ago. #RHEC
Your music makes me feel good bad mood or anything like that weather I’m pissed off or just havin one of them days I listen to your music an I feel better at the end of the day!🤘🏼🤙🏼#RHEC
Yo man Justin I hope you get right and get all that hate anger and depression out of you bro just like church said man you are the only one who can do that and do it by surrounding yourself with good people
When I got brought home in a police cruiser, as a teen, he was jamming Upchurch on his phone 😅😂 Those plastic seats are no joke 😅 hurt my ass like the detention chairs in school
I am 41 yrs old and this song reminds me of the days that i was hanging out with my friends and family. Thank goodness for upchurch and his buddy making this song.
Try hitting 20 and getting done with school and having real life hit you, not knowing exactly where you wanna go yet but have some ideas just don't really know which to take yet.. it sucks lol
I stopped stressin and turned up the CHURCH today. I needed this 🙏🏼❤️💯 I can’t name one song I don’t like. Crankin the Upchurch playlist. Singin at the top of my lungs. Smilin. Dancin like a fool haha!!
You make me miss my childhood and my twenties growing up in Montana when it was country going up in the mountains bonfires shooting guns drinking beer trying to get with a pretty girl fighting and when it was over you guys just with your friends or you respected one another it's a good song Good message keep it up

"the old days, when love was real" I'm 14 and I almost never know weather someone actually loves me or if they are just saying it cause they feel like they have too. I am so inspired my Upchurch.
@Michael Williams no i was just saying that he said "my upchurch" so i was like "i dont know if it was a mistake or i misunderstood it but upchurch isnt yours"
