An authentic & famous dish of Old Delhi. Chicken Changezi is a curry unto it’s own. Chicken Changezi is a rich creamy and mouthwatering dish with silky smooth gravy. It carries a heritage that goes all the way back to the Mughal empire. This dish was created during the reign of Emperor Genghis Khan, thus earning its name “Changezi” as a tribute.
It's Mughlai dish with smooth gravy with richness and flavor. The chicken is marinated and dry roasted and then coated with a creamy brown onion paste and tomato gravy with some selected spices and dairy.
Chicken Changezi is normally served with naans/ chapatis, can also enjoy with plain basmati rice. 😋🙂

Chicken Marination & Shallow Fry:
• 1 kg Chicken
• 1 Tbsp Ginger/ Garlic Paste (Adrak/ Lehsan)
• 1 Tsp Cumin powder (zeera)
• 2 Tbsp lemon juice
• 1 Tbsp Kashmiri Mirch
• 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder (Dhania)
• 1 Tbsp Red chili powder (Lal Mirch)
• 1 Tsp Garam Masala
• Salt according to taste
• 3 Tbsp Yogurt
• ¼ cup ghee
Preparation of Chicken Changezi Curry: -
• 04 Big Tomatoes peel off skin and blend
• ¼ cup ghee
• 2 Medium Chopped Onion
• 1 Tbsp ginger/ garlic paste
• ½ cup water
• 1 ½ Tbsp Coriander powder (dhania)
• ½ Tbsp red chili powder
• ½ Tbsp Kashmiri mirch
• ½ Tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi)
• 15-18 Cashew Powder/ paste
• ¼ cup water
• 1 Tsp Salt
• ½ Tsp Cumin powder (zeera)
• 2 Tbsp Yogurt
• 3-4 whole green chili
• 2 Tbsp Butter
• 2 Tbsp cream
• Garnish with Ginger/ Green Coriander
• 2 Tsp Kasuri Meethi
• ½ Tsp Garam masala
• 1 Tsp Chat Masala
