Old electric D-Handle drill restoration 

Very nice restoration. I never saw the label so I cannot help identify the tool. I have restored a few including the first drill made ...a 1915 Black & Decker drill.

I have a pre WW2 Stanley u.s. patent no. 1,821,436 power drill. It is almost identical to this model you are restoring. The patent was approved in 1930. Could be that Stanley sold the patent/rights to this company in the 50's! I don't often use my one, but it is still powerful and runs quietly. The chuck is a bit sticky and it still has the original chuck key which fits in a specially designed pocket in the casing. So cool! I'm going to find time and compare the inner workings to your model. Love the resto! Well done!
