GTAO has been out for just over a decade now, it’s features have changed tenfold over time so today I will be discussing some old features that likely only OG players will remember in GTAO. #gtaonline
They should put a lot of dlc vehicles in traffic, just not allow you to keep the higher dollar or rare ones without buying them. Traffic feels outdated with only OG vehicles
i miss the crate drops so much, they were my favourite part of the game on old gen. i just remember majority of the server flying towards the yellow zone at light speed and how intense the fights were i had with my friend and randoms + the satisfaction i got the few times i got it. Sadly i dont see it coming back considering how hard the modders would ruin it, on pc atleast. blowing up the train was also very cool but 1 thing you didn’t mention (cos its not an intended feature i assume) that i dearly miss were the tank gate launches, i assumed R* wouldn’t patch em because it was hella fun and had no downsides regarding anything, alas they did.
@@darthdrake632 yupp every1 wanted them beer hats, iirc we were only available to recieve the hats during the short period of the independence day weeks or whatever(could be wrong its been so long lol), sadly i never got one of em hats but it dont matter cos i was too late to migrate my acc from ps3-pc anyways.
Part of the reason the mechanic no longer delivers us the car was due to a duplication glitch where you’d shoot Johnny and have someone get in the car and you’d steal one off the street or run away and call It again and it would duplicate. Something to that effect. They took him out in like 2016-2017 before i graduated high school
To be completely honest, I never got the chance to experience any of these things when I first started playing GTA. My mom was one of those parents who cared about what I was watching on TV, so I wasn't allowed to play GTA V story mode until the Diamond Casino was introduced. Moreover, I wasn't able to play GTA Online because of my financial situation. However, I remember that at one point, Rockstar was offering a free week of gameplay, and that's when I got to create a character in GTA. Out of all the features, I think bringing back and improving Johnny on the spot would be cool, as long as it doesn't ruin your car or fail to deliver it all together.
Really happy you got to play finally, I had a similar situation with my parents but as long as I didn’t go into the “shoe store” in front of them I was fine 😂
@v_Falls_v 🤣🤣 I couldn't be GTA at the time so my mom let me get the next best thing and bought me Mafia 2. I had to show her gameplay of the game so it could get mom's approval seal but the guy's gameplay I was watching picked up a Playboy magazine and showed a naked chick. 😅😅 I was screwed but she still let me get it since there was no open sex in it. (There was but I showed her a toned-down gameplay). My mom is old so she fell in love with the game since it was about an old-style gangster and got into the story with me. Joe was her favorite.
8:27 man that era was scary because when I was a level 13-27 i had terrible guns but my enemy also had the same weapons which balanced it out. Now a days you could spawn in @ level 1 and get the Homing Launcher, Rifles, And More
The auto shop ones pay out a bit more, but they're frustratingly difficult. I couldn't complete the Lost MC one solo. I had to get a couple of randoms to help me out. Edit: Just noticed you said contact, not contract. Still, the auto shop missions are hard af and the payout is pitiful for the amount of time and effort you have to put into doing them.
It never happened to me, but apparently the mechanic would sometimes randomly be hostile to the player. I've heard this is part of the reason why they removed him. Personally, I never had any issues with the mechanic back in the day. I'm actually having more issues with the current system spawning my vehicles far away from where I'm standing.
The mechanic was a loveable asshole. He'd drive your car away from you a lot and when he got out of you did the running into shove thing he'd fight you
In 2015 on may 6th i started playing gta v. As everyone was playing heists i always bought ammo here. I remember trying to prove to my friend that i was able to blow up the train. Thanks to Vanoss and his friends i could show him that it was possible.
I definitely remember when you car soft locked every time you brought out a new one, it was funny because sometimes you'd think when you bring a car out from your garage while your personal was outside, you'd be locked out of the car, thinking you lost it forever, the good 'ol days were surely fun I can say.
Bruh. A video about the Simple Times of the XBOX1/PS4/Heist Era. The Crate Drops need to come back somehow, and STAY in game. I do recall back in 2014 when that "Please Stop Me" Crate Event happened that Weekend, and it was only for 1 weekend. I recall the entire GTA Online Community at that time being in FULL Support of this idea: 'Put Missable Items from Past Events as a Random Drop in these Crates.'. And it wasnt only the Mask that you could get. There was also a Shirt from a past event, and a Beer Hat. It was soo good. Players cant play every day, and they will miss event items; FOMO. And this 'Cured' that FOMO. Like 99% of the playerbase loved this idea. And Ill go further and say this was the last(and possibly only time) near all players liked something Rockstar did.
I remember the crate drops, only because i played with 2 of my old friends on the PS3. And they had a litteral war, and did not see me go for it. I mentioned it when i had picked it up and was safe in my apartment. They where so mad at me
2:04 I did that for early game duping it was also possible to use your garage in this manner but at the time money wasnt an issue so I didnt really bother unless it was something I bought and didnt like.

God i feel old now i seen the good early gta well other then passive mode and alot of balancing crap but hey its gta I also accidently found a glitch back then with the LTS paintball mask and water you could walk on the bottom of the water
Johnny lives in my head rent free. 😂 thing was for me it was 70% of the time he just drove away that's what got me to leave the game in the first place
The ammo thing was cool in my opinion. You had to be careful not to shoot too much or something. That's probably why there weren't as many griefers as there are now. They don't care about ammo since in one second they can have 10k~ of ammo again and continue griefing. Here, it would be nice if it continued like this or if the amount of ammunition dropped from 10k to, for example, 2k. Or that each weapon had a different amount of ammunition for itself. What was my surprise, being used to 10k ammo, the special ammo from version 2 of the weapon is limited to e.g. 240 ammo where I was used to the fact that each weapon has 10k of them. However, if they changed it, they decided to make each weapon have its own number, e.g. minigun 10k, rifles 5k pistols 1k to 3k, it would change PVP in GTA V significantly. And remove the option from the interaction menu to buy ammo there. And, for example, have this option in special buildings like our agency or office in Maze Bank, etc.
The first moment I ever had in GTA online free roam I spawned in knowing it would be chaotic, immediately went passive, it put me in some random spot and as I loaded in, within 15-20 seconds a player hit me with a box truck and immediately killed me 😂😂 I was so confused what the point of passive was
@@mischievousjr.9299 they probably don't, but hey, any new info is good info for me. I just barely found out you can use snacks and body armor through the weapon wheel but I still opt for the interaction menu and cover combo for instant heals.
Maaaan i dont get why everybody loves talking about Johnny taking your car, i never had that happen to me. Rarely happened, he did bring it destroyed sometimes But he hardly took off with it, i got my character since 11/06/2013 i had another that got deleted

Or literally steal another car on the street and drive two blocks away boom You didnt need to blow up your friends car 😂
