I have recently tried the Rocky Ridge Big Dank Resin 8.5%, Freestyle Brewing Double Dhuy Imperial IPA 8%, Area 51 Gravitational Crush DDH IIPA 7.6%. All WA brewed by local businesses. Then the NZ Hop Zombie 8.5% and SA brewed Schwang Imperial Mixed Berry Sour. Of course they all have regular and midstrength options as well. It's good to support Australian businesses, the Japanese multinationals don't need any more sales
Yep, go to the bar and it's like playing lotto. I ordered a pink lemonade for my daughter and got a fu#ken beer. "Dad this tastes off". Had a sip and it did taste like lemonade, however my tastebuds were fu#ken useless. My wife hates beer, so sure enough tasted it and said that's beer. WTF? Why in God's name would I want a pink lemonade!

I have never been to Australia; however, I have complained to a beer distributor in the local market on how we have been over-sold on IPA's. Hazy, fruity, stoned, juicy, effin' IPA's. Also, waaay toooo many seltzers! Just returned from the upper-midwest where the beer is beer and the brats are served. Sub'd.
IPA - Indian pale ale XPA - non Indian pale ale? UFC - where men claiming to be woman get to physically abuse woman in public for money. XYZ - probably the latest gender Bud light /Corona / Jack Daniels - the stuff you drink if you want to join the UFC Hope this helps :)

Unfined beer, you can`t see through.. I call dishwater, or mud when you look at it, but that doesnt mean I won`t drink it..a name sells a beer, like a pumpclip does..great video, kind of sums up the beer world from a lager drinker..but to be fair, brewers have become more adventurous, and we need to applaud that, and I sometimes think it does what it says on the tin, but its not beer..but glad I tried it, to widen my experience..

😎👍There’s a thing I refer to as ‘Australian craft beer syndrome’ - this refers to all that stuff that tastes like someone fermented grapefruit skins in a galvanised bucket of rusty nails and then used a Soda stream to add a bit of fizz…..thing is, they all taste the sodding same and it’s nothing like a genuine IPA. NEIPA (🇺🇸) is another offender, it’s not an IPA, stop trying to add legitimacy to your woefully shithouse beverages by adding IPA in the name or some variation of it! Oz makes enough good beer to know better than trying to fob off sub standard beer on fresh generations coming of age.
This sh!t is everywhere in the uk too, does my head in. Even worse, Craft brewers pay less tax than the established traditional breweries, but still charge more for their shoddy alcopops. I hate them.
@@papalegba6796 😎👍, having come from the UK I know what IPA was originally created for & how it should taste, Greene King & Shepherd Neame are a fair place to start for how it should taste. Tui from New Zealand is noteworthy too. IPA should be trademarked or at least made an industry standard - Craft beer IPA? this is like making Brie and calling it Cheddar. 😡
@@billyaitken7461 they all use these rancid yank hops like cascade. Thing is, cascade was originally bred to be very high yield & pest resistant, at first no breweries wanted it cos it's so bitter. But then the craft guys found a way to use it, by adding fruit syrup to disguise the bitterness. Now the yank hops growers are having a bonanza & we're being forced to drink alcopops that taste like mouthwash. It's a huge scam.

No such thing as a bad beer, some are just better than others. However, craft beer is for inner city wankers. If I want a citrus flavour I'll eat a f'n orange. Just give me a beer that tastes like f'n beer.
