Excellent and challenging one. Well done; it strained my attempts at recalling my schoolboy memories. One correction, though, I think. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the flag you labelled as being the former flag of Tanzania was actually of former Tanganyika, as Zanzibar was still a separate colony back then.

Two things stymied me, those being the really OLD flags from the 1860s and such and the flags of former British colonies with only the badge to give you a hint.

I didn't really know, but that's a particularly interesting flag quiz, because these flags are no longer seen today. Light green is no longer used in flags. But did you know that the only current flag that features purple is that of Dominica?

even though sri lanka is not actually purple and the purple is a bit reddish, plus you can find purple in the flag of nicaragua in the rainbow emblem, there is purple in that emblem
